Would you prefer them to do kick to kick

Given all clubs going into hub, and short of bodies, and we normally play a mix alongside Sandy anyway... I'd prefer 2 AFL sides merged to play these fixtures (so basically 4 clubs per game) with 18 a side and people playing in their correct positions.
All you'd lose is the terminology used at restarts to say where people are going, you could just revert to the old-school 'clockface' of where the tap is aimed.

That would offer the same as this, its not ideal but it would be better for the players to be in positions they'll actually play AFL at, and give them a longer crack at it as you could play the same game duration as the AFL games. It would be much closer to the VFL outings that reserves normally get.

Good to see Logan Austin getting a mention. Looking forward to him establishing himself in the seniors. He would compliment Howard and Wilkie perfectly and would allow Carlisle to be the interceptor which is his strength

Do you have $500,000 riding on Austin making a debut, this year, or something? It's all you post about.

Byrnes putting himself forward again. Cant see Bytel getting a game at this stage. Our next debutant might be Clavarino.

How’s Langlands doing?

I know he has been a slow burn but Clav seems to be showing a bit , iv always liked him since we drafted him but it never seems to go right for him injury wise , this season is a weird one but hopefully next season he can make his mark .
Oh an just a tip , every scratch match they put a comment - spin against just about everyone so dont read too much into AUSTIN

Name not mentioned. Pleased to see Ed Phillips get a mention.

A small easy to miss mention, but a mention!

"Darragh Joyce, Jack Bell and Doulton Langlands formed part of the Saints’ attack and a buzzing Jack Lonie slotted an important goal in the wet, but it was a challenging day for the forward line on the whole. "

Apparently we played Melbourne last week. Anyone have some news? Nothing about it on the Saints site.
The club posted some photos on the website but thats all. Looked like only about 10 four players ended by playing with a lot being held over incase they were needed against geelong.

Byrnes again! I know you can only take so much from scratch matches, but his performances are a very obvious healthy trend. It's great he continues to perform in the midfield.
Abbott has been doing well too.
