Yep, great clip (haven't watched it).

I make sure I don't watch it because I know I'll definitely rewatch the series, and it makes that last scene that much more impactful.

I plan on buying the box set for it, as well as How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, Friends and Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

I'm always cycling through these shows, HIMYM 4 times, Friends 3-4 times, Fresh Prince 2 times and I'm currently on 30 Rock on my second watch so I figured I might as well just ****ing buy the box set lol and get the additional content.

It might be different in Australia but the full series of all the shows you mentioned are on Netflix. Obviously you don't get the additional content though.

What's the other 3?

The Office, The Wire, Entourage. That's not to say that those are necessarily 'better' shows,just ones that resonated with me more for various reasons. Although I'd say the wire is the best overall show I've seen.

Admittedly the first 2 seasons are the only ones I've watched in full and the rest just bits and pieces... but I think this show gets remembered fondly more because of when it aired than because it was that funny. 2001 didn't have many single camera comedies. Multi-cam laugh track pieces of shit were very dominant. Mega popular Friends didn't end until 2004, Everybody Loves Raymond until 2005. Scrubs stood out because it looked different, had surrealism and a pretty good knack for sentimentality. It's not a bad show by any stretch but if it started now it wouldn't be held in such high regard. And if we're rating it just on comedy it's nowhere near the top.

I've made three attempts at this show - back in the '90s when it first began, at the height of it's popularity and again recently - but simply can't see what all the fuss is about.
I love my fair share of comedies - Parks and Rec, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, Flight of the Conchords, Frasier; even Friends, but I just can't get into this show.
At best, I'd rank it near 30 Rock as a moderately amusing sitcom with the odd quotable one-liner thrown in here and there.

Perhaps not, although I love Arrested Development and Futurama - both of which I'd consider to be wacky humour.

First three seasons are brilliant; they're up there with just about any other show I've seen. It had a long and slow decline from then on though, to the point where I don't even think I've seen all of the last couple of seasons. But still, in its early days it managed to get that blend of comedy and drama pretty much spot on most of the time.

I really love the show but I think it did.

There was a big difference between the first 4 seasons and then the next 4. I've never been able to quite put my finger on what it was but I do always notice it.

I caught a few episodes here and there, it was ok but nothing spectacular enough to warrant me actively searching out and watching entire seasons of it.
