I believe Bastinac hurt his knee in an innocuous thing at training and the North view is that no chances should betaken and he can have as long as he needs to get it right. Would be entirely the same with Scully. Why in God's name would you rush him back?

Have known Griff for a long time, is a good mate of mine. He even came to my wedding and was my assistant coach at the club I coach. I can assure you he is a very sensible bloke, has an excellent knowledge of the game and is a passionate Melbourne supporter. He got burnt badly last time by a mate who plays AFL and probably made a blue posting the original rumour. I hope he is wrong but I am happy to put my own reputation the line in defense of the bloke and can assure you for him to post it he has got the information from someone with inside knowledge. Take his rumour on face value but don't rip into the bloke for having an opinion

Thanks Bails. Appreciate the support...god knows i need it!!! Clearly made a few blues on here of late.....Understand the backlash to be honest... very sensitive topic and probably go in a bit quick with what i hear or my opinion.. I am honestly not out to troll or stir anyone up on here... Im as one eyed as they come..

As a supporter of this club, you can't help but be suspicious of this whole Scully injury! I would not be surprised in the slightest if the club has been told or found out in some way that Scully has agreed to terms with GWS. Something is definitely fishy about this whole thing. It's bad either way you look at it, either he's been told by the club that he's not up for selection due to iminent signing with GWS or Scully genuinely has a stuffed knee. Bad news all round for us....

Its a shite state of affairs when this kind of situation arises. AFL have so stuffed up the introduction of new teams.

if he goes badluck, there gysberts, blease and viney on the way who are desperate to pull the jumper on, plus we get a compensation for him, from what iv seen so far trengoves miles in front of him, i havnt seen scully taking grabs like him, if he goe he will regret it, after the first year they will be playing in front of 2000 fans a week, they hate afl up there,he mite end up with a stack of cash but it will be a boring journey for him,the young victorians that get drafted there this season will be looking for a way out after 2seasons.

Spoke to Tom a few hours ago.. He has a slightly sore knee, but thats all it is. Soreness.

Scans showed nothing wrong with the bone or structure. Kneecap is fine. He expect to be back in round 5.

He trains like a mad man, so Im not surprised this has happened.

But its hardly serious.
