Yes but people also vote for the greens so that should tell you something, as for being a yuppy how old school is that, 1980 here we come. I'm not going to put up with people putting crap on WEST Sydney, because they may or more likely not sign one of your players.
Should point out that Fitzroy is one of the best suburbs in Melbourne. Would give an arm and a leg to live there. I'd liken Western Sydney to Broadmeadows or Dandenong. Ethnic junkyard full of gangs.west sydney has very little attraction, it would be like living in a fitzroy or a clayton or a footscray in melbourne
melbourne has those suburbs as well, but the majority of it is good brah
better than sydney for sure
i'm sure you are aware of the numerous reasons there are to vote for the greens, if not then i won't indulge you by stating them... (i'm not a greens voter btw)

hmm i didn't think western sydney was that bad, i had an unpleasant experience in fitzroy... which probably swayed my thinking... it was at night though
I had a few guys come down to Melbourne from Sydney and we showed them around Broadmeadows and the surrounding suburbs. They almost instantly compared it to Bankstown and GWS. Was actually really funny. I can't imagine a lad like Scully wanting to live in such an area.hmm i didn't think western sydney was that bad, i had an unpleasant experience in fitzroy... which probably swayed my thinking... it was at night though

ROB48 is right. Fitzroy is now a very gentrified suburb and the only trouble you might find is near the flats on Brunswick and Johnston Streets.

Maguire just went nuts on Triple M this morning , in relation to a system that allows GWS to pinch a young man from a developing club. He wasn't so much concerned about the Abletts, Swans etc. It was the Scullies, Mitch Clarks, Martyns etc.
He was pretty adamant that yesterday Scully signed with GWS with a front loaded contract for around 3 million dollars for his first year. He wanted to know how a young 19 year old man was supposed to be able to turn money like that down and suggested no young man should have to nor should they be put in that position. let alone clubs who have only got access to these players in the first place because of performing poorly on the field having their 5 year plans ripped out from underneath them.
Eddie rarely opens his mouth on a story like that and is wrong, I hope that he has his wires crossed and it's not true.
agree wholeheartedly rob48.... and the thing is, we will still get another greatly talented young mid in jack viney as of 2012, i don't think it will be the tragedy it is being made out to be
that said tom is an absolute gun, and i hope he stays with us for years to come
NO, it is a tragedy. Tom will most likely be one of the top10 players in the comp in the next few yearsagree wholeheartedly rob48.... and the thing is, we will still get another greatly talented young mid in jack viney as of 2012, i don't think it will be the tragedy it is being made out to be

None right at the start of the season. At least we know Viney Jnr is on the way.I spoke to a club official this morning and he said Cam's confident that Tom will re-sign but I don’t share his confidence, the amount of money spoken about, if it’s true, is just too much IMO.
We just have to put this to bed one way or another, and if Tom has any consideration for the club he should just tell him manager to start talks before it destroys our season. Surely he can see what the fallout is at the moment and surely he’s smart enough to know it will only get worse.
We've been torn apart by these protracted negotiations over the last few years with Flash, Greeny, Bruce and several others before that, so we don't need any more.
