Only two players pick in the top 25 last year didnt debut, if he doesnt there is something seriously wrong and not worthy of a top 10 pick

I'm no expert but I would think it be case by case. English is a long term prospect. Dockers can cover in the short term if they decide to go for him while he develops. Dockers have a future need in the ruck & it's not hard to see the potential in English.

Can't see an issue where the dockers put the work into him and leaves the club, that's more of a risk for other clubs outside of Perth.

He won't be around for Freo's next pick it's either pick him up or go with most likely a midfielder. I disagree it's a mistake if he doesn't play next season but just my opinion. Dockers have done well to move pick 3 to 7 plus other picks and likely to still pick him up.

So you think he isn't worth a first, as 95 percent of first rounders play AFL in their debut year that's what makes them worth so much. Doubt freo will go development with such a high pick

Rucks are the riskiest picks we have taken a couple with low picks which never worked out, but when they do it could be a match winner. Although saying that Sandi was a rookie pick and one of the best of the modern era

West Coast don't have any glaring list needs right now so I thought I'd go with the player I rate the most from the remaining crop. He has the most spark when in control of the ball and creates goals from nothing, broken leg might be a problem but I think he'll come out on top

LOL. The eagles midfield is its biggest weakness. Sure mitchell will help for a year or 2 but in 2 years time when both mitchell and priddis gone we will have a massive whole in our midfield. This draft is perfect time for us to draft and develop mids for the coming few years.

Dylan Clarke would be a good pick for the Eagles to take over from Priddis.

Maybe but I would prefer someone who wins plenty of contested possessions. Eagles lack in that department and we don't have many coming through either.

Yeah Clarke would be nice but we are a bit too one paced. Mitchell, Priddis, redden and sheed tend to be on the slower side. Some one with explosiveness would be nice. I really don't mind spp at our pick. He has x factor and can make things happen either in the middle or in the forward line. On lukey shuey can do that on our list.

I think every club ATM has their eyes on contested midfielders when you look at the likes of Dangerfield, Selwood, Kennedy, Bonts , Sloane, Priddis , Mitchell, Lewis every teams best nidfielders seem to have a lot of grunt about them.

I rate scheer and Mitch as two quality explosive platers but not first round quality. WCE are in a position where they're missing out on the best contested mids but are too high up to go for the second tiers

Sam Powell Pepper would seem a no brainer to me, a real bull inside, good speed outside, hard tackler, line breaker and hits the scoreboard consistently up forward??..

Also played for east Perth so we got a good look at him this year playing seniors.

Taranto I hope beyond all hope slips to us, same as SPS, but I would like Powell pepper at WC if they don't. I love his attack on the ball.
