Don't think North would believe their luck if Taranto fell to them!

Only two players pick in the top 25 last year didnt debut, if he doesnt there is something seriously wrong and not worthy of a top 10 pick
I'm no expert but I would think it be case by case. English is a long term prospect. Dockers can cover in the short term if they decide to go for him while he develops. Dockers have a future need in the ruck & it's not hard to see the potential in English.
Can't see an issue where the dockers put the work into him and leaves the club, that's more of a risk for other clubs outside of Perth.
He won't be around for Freo's next pick it's either pick him up or go with most likely a midfielder. I disagree it's a mistake if he doesn't play next season but just my opinion. Dockers have done well to move pick 3 to 7 plus other picks and likely to still pick him up.

It's amazing how many phantom drafts think we'll take English. Our recruitment people have said this draft period we have filled needs during the trade and will go best available.
I'm sorry but English might be the best of the rucks but he is not in the top 10. I would regard the chances of us taking English at less than 1 in 5.
Our history is that we take rucks late or in the rookie. Consequently I would have us taking a ruck around our third pick. So 44ish.

Dylan Clarke would be a good pick for the Eagles to take over from Priddis.West Coast don't have any glaring list needs right now so I thought I'd go with the player I rate the most from the remaining crop. He has the most spark when in control of the ball and creates goals from nothing, broken leg might be a problem but I think he'll come out on top
LOL. The eagles midfield is its biggest weakness. Sure mitchell will help for a year or 2 but in 2 years time when both mitchell and priddis gone we will have a massive whole in our midfield. This draft is perfect time for us to draft and develop mids for the coming few years.
Simpkon is still very handy running through the middle.West Coast don't have any glaring list needs right now so I thought I'd go with the player I rate the most from the remaining crop. Maybe but I would prefer someone who wins plenty of contested possessions. Eagles lack in that department and we don't have many coming through either.Simpkon is still very handy running through the middle.
Yeah Clarke would be nice but we are a bit too one paced. Mitchell, Priddis, redden and sheed tend to be on the slower side. Some one with explosiveness would be nice. I really don't mind spp at our pick. He has x factor and can make things happen either in the middle or in the forward line. On lukey shuey can do that on our list.Dylan Clarke would be a good pick for the Eagles to take over from Priddis.

True but it's one area that the eagles have lacked for a while and got found out this year cause we had a few injuries and a few players out of form. With no nn next year and the possibility of him not being at his best the year after, it's good to get a few contested mids.I think every club ATM has their eyes on contested midfielders when you look at the likes of Dangerfield, Selwood, Kennedy, Bonts , Sloane, Priddis , Mitchell, Lewis every teams best nidfielders seem to have a lot of grunt about them.
I rate scheer and Mitch as two quality explosive platers but not first round quality. WCE are in a position where they're missing out on the best contested mids but are too high up to go for the second tiersTrue but it's one area that the eagles have lacked for a while and got found out this year cause we had a few injuries and a few players out of form. Sam Powell Pepper would seem a no brainer to me, a real bull inside, good speed outside, hard tackler, line breaker and hits the scoreboard consistently up forward??..Yeah Clarke would be nice but we are a bit too one paced. agree. Has the potential to be a game breaker either in the middle or up forward.Sam Powell Pepper would seem a no brainer to me, a real bull inside, good speed outside, hard tackler, line breaker and hits the scoreboard consistently up forward??..
Also played for east Perth so we got a good look at him this year playing seniors.Sam Powell Pepper would seem a no brainer to me, a real bull inside, good speed outside, hard tackler, line breaker and hits the scoreboard consistently up forward??..
you can get nasal spray for that, or a pill........at least that's what i have heard.I'd cream my pants if North got Taranto
