With Cox not playing too well, and apparently having a sore leg, Seaby is a strong chance to get called up this week.

His form in the WAFL has been very impressive. I'd love to see how this bloke handles it in the AFL. What a better game to ease him into than against the Dogs who aren't exactly strong in the ruck department at the moment.

seems a good idea, cox needs a chance to regain some form in the wafl because he just isn't performing at the moment. so i would be all for a seaby debut.

I didnt think Cox was that bad against Essendon?? And he was very good against Richmond in round 9? Doubt he will be dropped, injured maybe but I dont think he would be omitted.

I thought Cox held his own in the ruck when Gardiner wasnt doing so well

Dont see any reason why he should be dropped, although if he's hurt then by all means give Seaby a run

Seaby MUST get a run sometime soon otherwise he could end up delisted without getting any chance at all (not this year, but probably next if he hasn't done anything) and I've always been a believer that you shouldn't delist a bloke without giving him at least 2 or 3 games, but generally closer to 6 or 7 or 8 to at least see what they can do at AFL level.

Even if they appear so inadequate at lower levels, you never know what some people can do when they are thrust into the big time.

Cox v Seaby

Cox was the better of our two ruckmen against Essendon. He also played well against Richmond and, along with Gardiner, is our best option. Just because Seaby hasn't had a run, doesn't mean Cox should be dropped for him. Let him wait like everyone else. Zac Beeck more than held his own with Seaby yesterday - and Zac was playing under duress as he had copped a few heavy blows.

I don't think Woosha would ever play 3 ruckmen, unless he used one specifically as a tall forward. IMO Seaby will play AFL footy either this year or in the first 11 rounds of next year. He played a blinder yesterday (how good was it to win at our old home ground :D). . . Beeck played ok, but it was Seaby who dominated the contest and gave West Perth first hands to the ball.

Onya vicki.

Great game of football at the spiritual home of West Perth (as Darren Harris put it to the players at 3/4 time).

I thought Seaby did well (as did Beeck) and from where I was sitting, Beeck took an absolute shellacking to the cruets early in the agenda!
