I’ve been pondering recently about Sean; and I have come to the conclusion that playing him forward is (maybe) the cause to so many of his shoulder injuries. Reason being - is when he leads - he creates so much momentum; and not being aware, crashes into defenders (that line him up) at high impact – causing injury.
To solve this problem… maybe the solution is to turn him into a full-back. There, Collingwood is able to utilize his strength, which is his speed, and free him from opposition defenders that crash into him. At full-back his much more aware - and is able to see what is coming.
Sean has adequate hight –being 190cm – and a strong build. Opposition forwards will find it difficult out-running him. As-well, he is able to use his great pace to rebound out of defence.
