I saw on the Freo club website the other day there is a competition for the biggest Dockers Diehards.

I was out shopping today and I saw this car, had stickers and things all over it. Walked around the back this is what I saw.

Surely that has been photoshopped
Pretty sure that Polly from Dockerland got that sticker made up. I think she also has a ute (or 2) done up in dockers colours (old style). They look pretty impressive.

I presume they are trying to get the new jumper dumped. Just a bit confusing as to what "this" is that they want dumped. The "U" in Dump, looks like its an arrow pointing down so some people may get the impression that they want you to dump the Freo number plate.

Join who??

If the idea of the sticker was to get people interested in dumping the new club image they've failed just as massively as they are disappointed in the change.

I guess reading the tiny red writing at the top and bottom of the sticker is supposed to give some clue as to who they want the reader to join, but then to put it on a vehicle which apart from when the pic was taken is usually moving is just a double Fail!

LOL as some people who just don't want to let go. :(

The only problem with that message is that its preaching to the converted. Unless you know what the issue is, in which case you probably already hold a particular viewpoint, you aren't going to feel inclined to join anything.

LOL at some people who support the abandonment of the club's identity without question and feel happy to bend over and take whatever the administration serves up. (see how this works? Its called holding an alternative point of view.)

You won't find too many docker diehards whose overstated expression of support for the club includes the new marketing image, except for the bandwagoners of course. Its quite funny that the club would now be searching for supporters whose love for the club extends to ostentatiously displaying the very images that they have worked so hard to eliminate from Freo's identity.

I used to wear flared trousers in the 70's, and go to disco's and dance to disco music.

I remember the 80's, anthem music was all the rage as was Big hair and perms.

Good times, good times

I was thinking, "dump the clutch". And thought it was a burnout mobile.

What are you talking about man? Flares are making a comeback.

I used to listen to AC/DC in the 70s, then in the 80s I listened to AC/DC. Now I'm keeping up to date with current trends, and I still listen to AC/DC.

When Fremantle win their first premiership in the generic rebrand jumper they'll probably play AC/DC.

Good times.
