thoughts on who was stiff to miss out and anyone lucky to make it?

Is there a quantity on how many players per division? EDFL have three divisions as well. Like other leagues I am sure there is quality players in lower divisions. Maybe its a medium side rather than all round guns. Leagues may want to attract on its eveness rather than one sided results. They do provide average winning/ losing results each year!
Also don"t worry about the div two and three guys picked they could hold their own in div 1 and we all know there are obviously better.

Will play for WPL when not required at VFL level.

So a 30 year old bloke, who will most likely be captain of Richmond's VFL team, with over 150 AFL games experience, has been asked by his VFL club to sign with a local club so he has somewhere to play when they have their 3 byes so that he doesn't lose form?

Not to mention his hamstrings are the reason he retired from AFL.

Aaron Davey will not play one single game for WPL. Not all VFL players sign with local clubs

No one has said that he'd play many games, just that he had signed.

It will all come down to the size of the injury list at Richmond. With 44 listed players along with a pretty strong VFL list ( http://www.richmondfc.com.au/vfl/vfl-playing-list ) I wouldn't be surprised at all if Davey plays more than you think just purely on not getting picked for VFL. Plus hes not captain.

Highly doubt that or else he wouldnt of signed at Richmond.
