Sorry to drop in - but I just wanted to see what the reaction to King's quote would be. For what it's worth I reckon you will be the team on the rise this year. Surely you can improve on 10 wins after a number of close loses - and your % was excellent. You've filled holes in your list for the second year in a row - to be honest I can't see you not making the 8.

If that is true, he is a rabbit,
We will surely improve but so will a lot of other teams and coming from so far back we still have a long way to go. I think we will definitely be in the 8 in 2014 but 2013 is no certainty by a long shot

So it was the imbecile? I saw the headline and thought it was push up and was pissed off thinking he should shut up. Now I understand what the deal is, the media is putting the blitz on us and hoping we unravel with the pressure to deliver. What they tend to forget is that we have the "terminator" in Cotch as the captain, who will not stop until the target is reached.

I'm really looking forward to what A Edwards has to offer. That extra dimension we've been looking for and really hope he leads hard up the wings. I also can't wait to see what Vickery can produce.

Batchelor for me is one who can have a breakout year. If we have a fit Grimes and Chaplin taking number 1 and 2 defenders and Rance taking the 3rd this guy could really dominate in a sort of 3rd man up type role.

I don't think anybody is expecting us to make the top 4.
Playing finals would certainly be a nice start though and that is the realistic expectation amongst tiger fans.
The media will love to talk us up this pre-season for 2 reasons.
1) We will actually be a good side and they can prove themselves to be correct.
2) We fail so they can then proceed to laugh at us and place unnecessary pressure on Hardwick.
At the end of the day, their job is to sell papers.
They can say whatever they like but it would be wise as a supporter (and normal human being for that matter) to take it with a grain of salt.
