They beat Gembrook by 20 odd points on the weekend, which was the margin halfway through the first quarter. I appreciate that Gembrook will improve on last year, but for a 'not too shabby' Div 1 team, that's concerning from Warby's POV. Before you reply with the token 'they were missing X and Y, with Z only playing a quarter and S and T in opposite roles', I can tell you Gembrook were very under strength too.

Other practice match news from this side of the hill was Emerald beat Longwarry by 100 points on their first run on the new deck. I'm told both sides were almost at full strength. Longwarry went 17-1 last season, so unsure if they've lost a heap of players or Emerald were that good? Maybe someone can fill that gap. I see Olinda played Longwarry a week before, did they thump them too? Anyway, a week and a half and we are away!

It hasn't been finalised yet by the look of it, Chris. They usually have to wait until fairly late to see who can and cannot field sides. Check again in a day or so.

Yes, they have for the last few years. Hopefully that means all of your teams will be playing at the same ground on Saturday. It should be a good test for you up there. Emerald might be the team to beat in Second Division seniors this year. The ground has been resurfaced, so conditions should be perfect. How is the senior side shaping up? It would be nice to see Yea have a bit of success in the seniors.
