Why Pittard hasn't been moved to the wing to replace the lost run of Polec is simply baffling, he is the nearest player on the list to that run and carry type player, plus he has that penetrating left foot that can be used to break through zones.
Another probable advantage of moving Pittard away from defence ( as already mentioned by a number of other posters ) is it should limit the regular damage caused by his turnovers in the defensive 50.

Stewie could easily replace Pittard in defence as it is his natural, and best position at the higher level.

Unfortunately I doubt much different will happen, as Ken and the rest of the selection panel appear to have lost the ability to think outside the square, and believe that with more of the same old, same old, the players will all of a sudden click into gear - but meanwhile season 2015 is well on the way to Bolivar and doesn't look like coming back anytime soon.
Yes, this is mystifying. I've heard Jasper himself say, @ recent Players' Uncut night @ the club in the week leading up to the Carlton game, that he is keen to move into a more midfield, running role. When Jasper mentioned playing in this different role he seemed to indicate that it was a move the coaching staff were seriously considering.
To me, JP seems perfectly suited to playing on a wing.

Absolutely re Jasper on a wing. Time to change things up. Maybe time to try some forwards down back given they play more like defenders anyway. I'm sure there's a switch that would work really well, just have to experiment now. Nothing to gain by finishing 9th.

I'm not really expecting finals. I will be happily surprised if we do. I am however wanting to see improvement for the rest of the season. If that means we finish 9th so be it.

Ohh and no more Ah Chee as sub either full games.

Why does everyone want him on the wing? He's a good one-on-one defender, he's become quite reliable at doing the spare man stuff and marking the ball.

Offensively he has no lateral awareness. Pittard's rebound is literally just running in a straight line. Polec, White, Ebert heck even Impey have their side-step maneuver or are agile enough to run back a bit and turn around to create some space. Broadbent runs in a straight line too but he's actually quite a big body so he can get away with it.

I cannot think of when Pittard does this and if he does it's not a regular thing. His linebreaking stuff is literally running in a straight line and he will get caught a lot in the midfield since there will be more opposition numbers there.

not exactly a side step but his does change directions with his run which is quite effective and often confuses oppositions
