Won a senior flag guess he has no idea.o_O
You seem to have such a clear understanding of Jason's impact on the team, explain to me what structures he was running? Or how he engaged the playing group? Or why exactly he was "let go"?

Easy for somebody who is clueless about the situation to have an opinion about the matter. Enlighten me on how it all went down?

Why dont you enligten us you clearly have an opinion on the whole issue. I dont care either way.

When will the under 18's fixture be released? Heard Belgrave, Olinda, Monbulk and to a lesser extent Upwey all struggling for numbers.

I also see on the league website that the first training run for the interleague squad was held on February the 19th. Will a list of this squad be made available, or do we have to wait for some of these players to cleared from other leagues first? Fancy picking a squad on reputation and not performance, wouldn't happen would it?;)

Haven't heard which clubs will have them, although I understand that the League have asked for that info. I did hear Olinda were struggling, and that Upwey and Monbulk both have 20 plus players at this stage which means both will be OK in the 16 a side comp.

Logic would probably suggest that if Belgrave and Olinda were struggling that those kids would go to Upwey and Monbulk, which would see the numbers increase at Upwey and Monbulk to 20 plus.

Hope that doesn't eventuate, but if so, maybe an agreement so those kids could be 'parked' at neighbouring clubs for a season until they can form a side. Most clubs have been through lean times with kids and cleaning out a neighbour doesn't help the comp - or the kids.

Anyone have a clue at the quality of players coming into or leaving the league. I think I'm at that stage in life where I barely know any names anymore.

Have to agree with you there Monnie, but I guess problems with numbers in juniors has been around since Adam was a boy. In the Hampden league they have under 18 and a half, the EFL under 19's and we have under 18's. All completely different areas but all facing their own problems. I wonder how many kids from our league are, or have been, approached by neighbouring EFL clubs to play under 19's. Makes it a bit of a double edged sword if the number of kids coming into under 18's is slow and then some are leaving to play juniors elsewhere and not going onto senior footy in our league. Perhaps with all the restucturing that's been going on with AFL Victoria may help, but I'm not holding my breath.

It's when you don't know your own name or that of loved one's that you have a problem:)

That's happened already. I have another forum I am on that takes care of that.
But seriously, not much banter around pumping up new players. looks like all clubs are keeping the excitement levels down this season or is there just an air of expectation that it's Wandins season in the bag. Also looks like half of Seville have moved to Woori. Housing prices must be a bargin in Woori at the minute.

Might find that they are Vets players who helped out Seville reserves.

clearance wise mt eve seem to be the big movers
Seem to have picked a few up but some quality people in Duke & Hancock to Yarra Junction. Biggest loss will be Wade Nicholson. Does anyone have confirmed practice matches coming up? Date and venue if you know. Hopefully big day for Seville and Wandin tomorrow.

Hi Guys, thought I would give you all a update on the interleague. We have decided to do it a little different to the previous years and are having a handful of training sessions throughout the preseason. Our 4th session is this Friday night from 6pm @ Hawthorn's training venue out at Waverley , so if your got nothing on you are more than welcome to come on down. The session is also a open invitation to Any of the coaches in our league to also attend.
We are fortunate to have some great assistant coaches for this year with Dean Rice who is looking after the Backs, Damian monkhorst with the midfield and Tim Wragg with the forwards .
We asked all clubs to nominate two types of players for the interleague program. 1st any players that they thought were good enough to play interleague. Then any young kids just out of the un,18's comp in the past few years with potential to play interleague in the near future into a development program. Then we added some more that we thought could play a role. This squad can be added to if anyone outside this list perform well over the 1st 5 rounds.
(I believe the squad is up on the league's website now).
It's a large squad I know but it's given us a much clearer idea of all the players we have in our league in both Divisions.
So far it's been well supported by all the clubs and the players nominated.
I wish all the clubs the best this season and hope we can put together a strong interleague team to take on the Nepean FL in May.
