Yeah well we have lost 5+ players out of the AFL team from last week so that will affect the VFL team for sure

Vindicated in the AFL match though, so the sacrifice was worth it.

The GIANTS have named their team for round 10 of the VFL.

Not sure on how many in for the Cats but hopefully a good contest

This one I just don't get. Preuss is a better ruck than Flynn. I don't mind Flynn's marking up front if you want to give Preuss a spell, but it makes no sense to leave him out completely.

Looked to be lacking in effort today and not sure if injury or lingering effects of illness
He also hasn’t got the combination with the mids from the amount of taps he has sharked by opposition mids

It is a case that both Flynn and Preuss are better ft rucks than 1 playing ruck forward
All the chopping and changing doesn’t give them the opportunity to develop so hopefully we can see some continuity in the team after the bye

Yeah he defintely hasn't looked himself this year but it does seem like he's been battling with some form of illness throughout the year. Seems too young to be passed it.

first quarter scoreboard does not reflect the Giant's dominance. a lot of wasted opportunities and poor finishing.

Derkson looks ok, nice goal on debut.

2nd quarter a repeat of the first, though North were better early and the umpires got them back into it late. but from us it was waste.

for example: HTB free between the square & the 50. shout from the bench "Get It In!!!" - handball sideways, handball backward, turnover. waste.

Derkson's second was a nice ground ball get, turning his opponent inside out and through the sticks from about 45 degrees.
