Start in early February, break for the Olympics with festival of footy to finish off. Finals and Grand Final in October.
We already have two byes, so it we cut them out and have three weeks off over the Olympics, we only need to either start the season one week earlier, or finish one week later. It is not a major issue.

i dont think 7/17 is something to draw anything on. To most people, that would be classified as average.

To most people, A-league attendances would be classified as well below average.

Well if you bothered to go my original post, i said
"From my memory Swans Vs Lions games are amongst the better attended games."

So why do you bother posting?

I also said
"similar history, state rivalry and the number of New South Welshmen present."
The point I was (attempting) to make was that the Swans/Lions relationship had grown over the years
and indeed wasn't based on expat Victorians and thus an excellent result for Australian Football in the northern states.

*sigh*

The A-League has nothing to do with this discussion. Try and keep irrelevant stuff away, especially if you use it to attack people.

you dont have a point or it is wrong. Instead of backing down, you keep attacking. I am going to ignore 2020-21 for Covid reasons.

2019. Attendance for Brisbane v Sydney (20,075) match, Average attendance that year (24741)
2018 ( 18,702) AA( 18406)
2016 ( 14,646 ) AA(17074)
2015 (16,936) AA(18810)
2014 ( 17,953 ) AA (19743)
2011 ( 22,150 ) AA (20462)

As you can see, The Brisbane v Sydney Attendance sits around the average for the year. It is not increasing, it has been fairly steady and outside 2011 and 18(just), below the yearly Gabba average.

As I said, it is not something special, as you can see by the fact that 7/17 teams beat it in the history of the Brisbane Lions. It is what it is, average. Not great, not bad.
