Congratulations Noidenous, I could not think of a more deserving winner....well I could but once again I seem to have been overlooked! Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Be glad that you got mentioned. BOG and I don't even get a mention!

Even then, 6.1 from the pocket? Nice one Noidenous . Put in a masterclass this week! Conggrats!

Please note that 2 of your team-mates are on the esteemed panel...
Do better.

Do better.

In that case, I must make sure not only do I do even better, but we need to do it in a win! (Seriously, RS nomination in a 51 point loss? I can see why. It's meant to be about the team package too!)

Got to smash the Tigers then in style! C'mon!

Round 3 saw another batch of stellar rookie performances, as their contributions are recognised by their captains and they are given the responsibility of more prominent onfield roles. The Baghdad Bombers rewarded Tony Lynn 15's ridiculous thread performance of over 300 posts with the pivot role, and he delivered 21 disposals before sitting out the final term. JackNah_8's consistent contribution earned her a wing for 18 disposals; Royal GreyCrow had 23 possessions and led histeam in posts; Ratette MaxMinch scored a wing, collected 28 disposals and had over 50 posts for the third week running, and Bear Avatarp also racked up over 100 posts and 76 DT points. And that's not to mention Blaze Storm for the Dragons, who passed 200 posts for the second consecutive week.

However, the panel were nearly unanimous in their decision this week. The nominee for the SFA Rising Star award from week 3 is...

Round 3 Rising Star Nominee Noidenous (6.1 from 10 disposals in starvation corner)

Starting in a forward pocket, this recruit from the St Kilda board exhibition match put his experienced spearhead Doctor Gero in the shade, with a remarkable 5 goal first half as the Las Vegas Bears cleared out to a solid lead at the main break. He then added a sixth in the third as the Bears ran out comfortable winners. Add to that a solid contribution for his team against the intimidating Warriors in the thread.

Congratulations, Noidenous. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the mention again, Ant Bear
Just putting it out there that with 26 disposals and a goal from the wing (82 DT points). I'm not just an off-field specialist ;)

I can't wait until we match up, FT. It will truly be a battle of quality (you) versus quantity.

Round 3: Bombers go to the top, Fred kicks 7 in definitely the only time he played his 400th & Picking pockets Noidenous bags 6

Round 3 of Sweet FA action kicked off in style as the Swamprats traveled to Geelong, the swamprats were able to recover from the shock early benching of Okey favourite Ant Bear and eventually run out 20 point victors, the re-energized Warriors hosted the Bears, it was all downhill from there however as an accurate Bears outfit piled on 8 goals 1 in the first quarter to have it sewn up by the first break as rookie Noidenous kicked 6 from the pocket in a day to remember. The Dragons looked to continue their good form from the previous week but a solid team effort from the Wonders saw them run out 21 point victors as Hatchy1992 played a lone hand for the Dragons with 28 touches and 3 goals. It only took 84 attempts at simming but eventually Fred kicked a bag in a Roys victory to mark his milestone 400th game, the Furies were nowhere to be seen right from the get go as the Roys ran away by 23 points, but is anyone really surprised. The Bombers continued their unbeaten run beating up on the bombers by 51 points and leading HaroLad to declare the Bombers were dead certain to win the flag from here. In the final game of the round Thatsapaddlin put on a clinic for the Royals with 32 touches, 2 goals and 11 tackles as the Royals edged out the Hawks at home.

SFA Rising star.png
The rookie class of S23 continued to emerge this round, as more than 20 of them made significant contributions to their teams with upwards of 20 posts. However, there was some performances which rose above "contribution" and into Rising Star nomination territory...

For the Baghdad Bombers, the already-nominated TheCoach16 had another great game, while soul-mate Tony Lynn 15 had his third consecutive double century posting performance to dwarf his 89 DT points, and melty rebel GJD23 has apparently threatened to quit the league if he doesn't get nominated for this award. arrowman has also been very consistent, and only needs the love of the sim for higher recognition. At the Dragons, Blaze Storm is another with stratospheric posting numbers, and the panel's view is that this needs to be balanced down to a DT point equality level. 4 of the Furies rookies also continue to quietly work their way into the league, and Grey Crow by numbers is demanding a positional upgrade at the Royals. Avatarp continues to be one of the better-balanced rookies, along with @MaxMnch.

But our winner this week is some one who has demonstrated great consistency for the Roys, starting in the backline but demanding a premium spot vacated by Willo_ by the strength of his posting and some significant contributions around the league. The media this week have awarded the rising Star nomination to...

Mobbenfuhrer, from the Roys FFC, is the Round 4 Rising Star nominee. With a posting average of over 60, and...
wait. What are you doing here?

MaxMinch, of the Sin City Swamprats
Our lovely llama alpaca has quietly slipped into the midfield, earning her position in an already strong team by dint of more than 50 quality posts every week, and this week took advantage of Noobz0r's questionable stamina to move into the ruck-rover role near the end of the first term against the Warriors.
1 : 21.53 - <<< MaxMinch is coming on to replace Noobz0r >>>
From there, she was clearly BOG, with 21 disposals and the sealing goal late in the game, as well as touching the Warriors 8 times that the sim recorded (and many more that were not caught on camera)

4 : 20.54 {lW} - Quick hands to MaxMinch under pressure.
4 : 20.58 {lW} - He handpasses to Cloud_.
4 : 21.02 {lW} - Flicks it to MaxMinch.
4 : 21.08 {lW} - That couldn't be a goal ... surely?.
4 : 21.13 {lW} - MaxMinch's kick is close. A goal!.
Sin City Swamprats : 13.6.84
Coney Island Warriors : 10.6.66
Clearly beating league veteran zackah, Maxie has made a case for a future role as a Swampratette leader in a very short time.

In a resume-material performance, MaxMinch won the bout with zackah. - 76m from 22 to 98.
(and flirting with the judges didn't hurt, either)

Congratulations, MaxMinch. You are now in the running for the Media posse's Rookie of the Year award

Seems the judges are easily swayed by a lady in leather boots and bra

But yes well done MaxMinch
