1. Liverpool. I can only see them being stronger. Wirtz will be a star. Kerkez and Frimpong are good signings. Ekitike should be an upgrade on Nunez. They haven't finished in the transfer market yet.

2. City. They had a massive dip in form last season. 6 losses and a draw in 8 games. It won't happen again. It will be interesting to see how Reijnders and Cherki fit in. The biggest difference will come from their existing players. Rodri returning, Bobb to a lesser extent. Foden getting his form back.

3. Chelsea. Could be title contenders. Delap and Pedro are two of the best young strikers around. Can Reece James stay fit? It remains to be seen whether Maresca has the tactical nous to take points off their top 4 rivals.

4. Arsenal will be strong again but I don't see where their improvement will come from. Zubimendi, Norgaard, Madueke. Yeah nah. Gyokeres, who knows? Primeira Liga is not one of the top leagues in Europe. Over a 3rd of his goals in 2024-25 came from penalties.

There are two main awards.

Premier League Young Player of the Season. Players have to be 23 or under at the start of the season. Wirtz (22) and Gravenberch (23) are both eligible for 2025-26.

PFA Young Player of the Year. Players have to be 21 or under on 1 July.

Yeah it means a 24 year old can win the award. Wayne Rooney would have played 200 EPL games and got nearly 50 international caps!
