Given the events this week & season I'd like to use this 200th post to say something about the fraility of the human condition..... But instead I'll use it to applaude our two sides on the way we have carried ourselves through not just this unbelievable season & run to the GF, but more-so when the chips were down. When we were fighting over wooden spoons. When great posters left, burdened by the lack of success. When it seemed the whole SFA was either out to get us or had written us off. When we were a "bye". When posters mocked us for our unfortunate lack of luck in a 50:50 sim. When our hopes were crushed season after season. When we hit double figure consecutive losses... It is the way we carried ourselves in those times which I applaude. As a result, my respect for our two clubs & the posters here in this match thread could not be greater.

Congratulations to all of you for treating this place as I believe it was intended. With humour, respect & surprising levels of intellect.

In particular, to the Captains, you guys kick arse & do a lot (often unseen) for the league. Whoever wins this Sunday will be a very deserving winner IMO.

On that note.... C'MON SWAMPIES!!!

Weak arse attitude from a captain, has wacky tiger hacked your account?

I'm seriously considering stepping in and taking over the swamp rats to avoid them suffering an unjust defeat under your inept leadership!!
How much do you hate the Romans? o_O

I quite clearly said ‘Hi’ !

What more do you want ??
But that was then. This is now.

I have little to no plans today. maybe karaoke in the evening. There is also a puzzle and some beers that need attending to later.

No work until Monday because of Idul Fitri and Ramadhan
What is this puzzle you speak of? What are your go-to songs for Karaoke. It had better not be ******* Despacito. Or ******* Havana. I hope it's Wilson Phillips' "Hold On" or something like that!
Your missus needs help having breakfast? Is she ok?
Ongoing illness. The folks of Bigfooty actually pretty much saved her life 9 & 1/2 years ago with a wave of support that bled our eyes dry of saline.
So what did your missus have for breakfast?

My plans hmmm going to Koko Black with a friend for lunch then buffet dinner with family and friends.
2 bottles of vanilla Fortisip. It's kindah like the well-known Ensure.
As a Roys player, all the stereotypes about us Roys come home to roost in this household :)
I know what a buffet dinner is, but koko black ... is that like coffee or something? Or some racially prejudicial gorilla fantasy you weren't telling us before?

It's bloody hilarious to me that both of our teams are in the grand final after sensational sim-based eyebrow raisers causing two other teams to lose their marbles. Although I actually do feel for both of those teams too, as it must be a kick in the guts. I feel like all four teams will be running out there on Sunday. How about the Swampies dedicate their efforts to the Wonders, and we'll play for whichever team you guys scandalled out of a possie? You know, like playing for viewers at home.
Those words again: Viewers. At. Home.

Well I'm sorry to hear it. I can't imagine what's that like and can only imagine it's all kinds of hell.

It shits me because I always used to claim I was the hardest done by in this world. But now I just can't win at that game anymore. Grrrr :)
But thanks. Yeah, but we kick on! I'm a full time carer at home so we get to spend a lot of time together, and pissfart about on the internet all day. I'm kind of like a triage nurse. Just rush into action every now and then. It's why I can't do stuff like the podcast unless it's done in the witching hour or some such!

That's iced chocolate :)
Is it anything like this?

Oh man just the thought of it excites me!

Anyways, my day will consist of sitting at home, attending to domestic responsibilities, and wandering around this thread. Might wander the internet a bit more too. Got my mind blown yesterday when I discovered the distance between our solar system and the nearest star's solar system (if we assume it's the same diameter) is no more than half the distance between the stars themselves. Gonna do some wikisearching on that subject.

I also broadcast my ugly noggin on a social app but it's pretty boring - might do a little of that. But it made me wonder if we should do such a thing with a Sweet FA lilt. Kind of like a live podcast but with video. Makes a body wonder.

1000 piece indigenous artwork puzzle that is a diabolical mix of swirls and repeating colours.

Songs are the token karaoke songs (I want it that way, hero, don't want to miss a thing) with a few personal faves thrown in like Bowie, Savage Garden, Franz etc. Usually a fun night. But I need to build myself up for it or the anxiety gets the better of me and I bail.

Ramadan goes on for friggin ages. All I ever hear from the observers is "**** I'm hungry" :D
I don't observe Ramadhan but I really like Jakarta at this time cause everyone mudiks (goes back home) and since very few people actually are from Jakarta so a city of 20 odd million drops to like 5.
I can actually see the sky today without a layer of smog.
Plus people are chill and friendly because the whole community aspect of Ramadhan.

So a jigsaw puzzle? Not like solving Fermi's Paradox or anything like that?
