Club leaders have stated that our mission this season has been to become the arrogant beasts the Wonders once were. To be loathed again by the league. That is literally the direction of this club as set by the leaders since the start of the season. Go back through all of our private messages and you will see that is the case.

I've obviously been selfish, arrogant and 'all about me' for most of this thread and most of this season. As a big bustling full forward, the persona makes sense and it adds a bit of enjoyment.

But I have been very complimentary and inclusive of my teammates all season despite my 'all about me' attitude. In this thread alone, just to point out the obvious flaws in your above posts:




You said three times in your posts that I haven't mentioned teammates once. That I have made no attempt to include them in my arrogance shtick.

You can't get much more inclusive or complimentary than the bolded above.

If you dislike my style or you're just jealous of all of the attention being on one poster this week (because that's the way it comes across) then you should've brought it up with me in private rather than in a match thread against another team.

By doing so, you're quite clearly the one who has put yourself before the team.

How arrogant. How selfish. How inconsiderate of your teammates.

Put me on ignore, **** off to another club or get over it and stop whining.

The Bombers have been criticising each other and contradicting themselves all thread and you wouldn't call that situation untenable.

I've enjoyed playing with U2Tigers all year until this week. He has had many pot shots at me throughout the week, mostly because I come across as being better than others and that annoys him. I'm not going to back down from telling him that is the softest ****ing thing I've heard in this forum. Where the whole game revolves around separating good posters from bad. The best posters from the rest.

Team selection is literally based on the best players getting good positions. We target the best posters when recruitment in the off-season. We have poster rankings threads, the beez trophy, All-Sweet FA teams, a Hall of Fame, relevance rankings, mid-season surveys etc. Which all revolve around separating the best from the best.

The ultra conservative attitude that if you are good you shouldn't have to keep saying you are good is holding this league back, just like it holds Australian sports back.

More importantly, the suggestiion in a match thread against another club that I had done NOTHING to include my teammates and I had made the thread all about me was blatantly wrong, ignorant and ****ing soft once more. If you want more of the spotlight for you or someone else then ****ing take it.

But being adults, unless we are soft as ****, a disagreement does not make any situation 'untenable'. We will just butter up again after a 15 goal win and do it all again next week.

Apologies if I don't get your posting style right here, but let me give an example on how your arrogance and inclusion of your team mates in that arrogance could work.

[insert stats to prove how good you are and how in form you are - this probably should be about 3 paragraphs long]

So in closing I don't see how the Bombers win this game, after my 28 goals. How can I not kick that many with the precise kicks from JT_the_Man that Cactus_ deliver to me every game"

I know its not your style of writing, and you don't even need to do that often, maybe about 10-15% of the time.

Anyway, thats enough from me.

You're advice above isn't actually wrong though. I could definitely do that more. I agree with you.

You're right. I wasn't including anyone at all when I said that I have genuinely loved playing with my teammates (I should've just mentioned one or two posters so that the other 18 felt left out). I wasn't including anyone when I stated that my Wonders teammates have renewed my passion and energy for the game (I should've just picked one of you, **** the rest). NOBODY was included when I spoke about how welcome I felt at a like-minded club with some self confidence (I really should've listed posters who I felt were similarly competent, making the rest of the team feel left out).

I included every single one of my teammates and was very thankful for being part of this team. I have been all season. I've been genuinely complimentary of all teammates, our style, our leaders, how welcome I have been made, the faith shown in me when recruiting me, etc.

You're annoyed this week because I've been more active, more prominent and if possible more arrogant (given the potential Fred Medal and 2nd place of all time for goals). Again, if you want more of the limelight for yourself or your teammates, jump up and ****ing grab it mate.

Good. A couple of seasons ago, by their own admission, the Wonders had very little activity and little relevance.

We are back on the map this season. We have a great mix of experience and youth. We have some very active posters and plenty of confidence.

People are interested in the Wonders again. Our threads are entertaining and interesting. It’s a great club to be part of.

I’m well placed to compare the Bombers and Wonders having played at both clubs in the last two seasons. The Bombers were boring, stale, conservative.

The Bombers weren’t hated like the Wonders apparently are. But they weren’t liked either. They were just...nothing.

I agree with this sentiment. We responded by moving on posters that we felt were not going to help our cause moving forward. s**t, I even voluntarily delisted one myself mid season (D2D) as well as not stopping any poster wanting a mid season trade (miggs for example). I also openly knocked back a recruit who wanted to join but who we decided wasn't a great fit for a Club, that I and my LG were working to 'rebuild'.

Going Back to Back as well as having multiple top 20 beez posters as recognised by our peers shows we were, and are made of stern stuff.

I have at my disposal some of the hardest, meanest and bantiest (see, Ive even earned the right to make up words) fake sportsmen and sportswomen this planet has ever seen!

We've done it.

Its all ahead of you. Goodluck even matching our deeds of the last 4 seasons.
