My Bigfooty seems broken. The mouseovers are possessed. I have told my PC to ignore mousover popups, and I've told my chrome to ignore them too. But Bigfooty is going nuts. Every time I wander towards the Alerts button it pops it up without clicking. Hang on maybe I've set my F12 to act like a mobile. That might be it. It's driving me insane ... well, more so. I hate mouseover popups.
Here's another whinge. People were talking about Facebook before. I hardly even touch it anymore. It's just spamorama. I looked this morning and I had 4 alerts. You might think maybe one of those was worthwhile. But no. "Boost your post for etc etc ...", "The people in yadda yadda haven't heard from you in a while.", "Memories, stupid memories", "We've made a video out of the times you looked at alerts this year and threw up all over the monitor." This is why I almost never turn it on. Yesterday I checked out some folk who'd commented on stuff and discovered (unless maybe I already knew and forgot) that someone's become a Dad ... and another a second-time Mum ... if the damn site would stop spamming the arse out of itself I might be able to keep up. M granddaughters are getting old now apparently. I get to know this because family don't use Facebook. I can actually keep in touch ... albeit still vaguely.
And what's with this "lazy loading" bullshit websites do now? Is there anything, anything, that the evolution of net tech will introduce that can actually improve the experience, instead of depreciate it?
At least I finally got a decent night's sleep. Hopefully we can have interesting and fun discussion on this thread this week. And hopefully I annoyed all the phonebois with a long text post.
