It is never easy to be named the worst ruck in the league across a season, but is a mantle that Hate will have to wear after an extremely inconsistent Season 32.

The Demons ruck is one of a number of high profile names at the Snow Dome and at certain points this season he looked like a million dollars. However, Hate wasn't one of the main drivers during the club's incredible early season run of form, and when the results dried up, so did his rucking output.

The Edge Ruck Power Rankings would like to extend our commiserations to Hate, the 12th best ruck in our rankings in Season 32.

Phoenix skipper Chipmunk made a number of changes to his side ahead of Round 16, one of which was the decision to drop struggling ruck MannumPower for upstart por_please_ya. There was a real chance that MP would have finished the season in 12th which calls into question the decision to drop him, but his replacement in porps managed to distinguish herself in her sole rucking appearance. A convincing win over Tonga Bob was enough to finish 11th in the Edge Power Rankings for Season 32.

Tonga Bob was another late-season substitution, this time for myself. He managed to get 5 weeks of rucking action in and ended up with 1 win from 5 attempts, narrowly holding onto 10th place in the rankings. He's just 1 rating point in front of 11th placed por_please_ya and 4 rating points ahead of Hate in 12th, so it was an incredibly close call. Still, for a 3-time All-SFA winger, it was an admirable effort for the season. Commiserations to Tonga Bob for being named the 10th best ruck in the league by The Edge Power Rankings for Season 32.

The Bombers had a number of ruck options this season, with the likes of Antonio BlueVein and BLUEALLTHRU occupying the bottom of the rankings for a number of weeks early in the season. They ended up picking out a decent prospect in the back half of the season though, with CursingFijian recording a respectable 2 wins and 2 draws in 6 rucking duels. Hopefully the rookie can improve on his performances next season, but for now, commiserations on your 9th place finish in The Edge Power Rankings for Season 32.

The Edge Power Rankings can be a fickle bitch sometimes. GreyCrow was a constant at the pointy end of the rankings all season, and I'm sure the monotony of "1st Strigoi, 2nd GreyCrow" bored plenty more people than just myself and U2tigers. However, the experienced Royals ruck saw a massive nosedive in form in the back end of the season, a combination of poor ruckwork and a coach that seemed all too pre-disposed to pulling him from the ruck during the game. Regardless, GreyCrow recorded losses in each of his last four ruck duels and despite being the second best ruck for most of the season, he has been ranked the 8th best ruck for Season 32 by The Edge Power Rankings.

RANKINGS PROGRESSION

The creator of the award U2tigers did not have a fun season rucking back at the Furies, and he struggled to find consistent form across the season with just 4 ruck duel wins out of 15 total. He was part of a widely publicised feud at his club between himself, Elton Johns Wig and Tigerturbulance for the prime ruck position at Punt Road, and was dropped in Round 6 for poor performances. Bono has largely kept between 7th and 9th on the rankings for the past few months, never breaking into the top half, and has finished up as the 7th best ruck according to The Edge Power Rankings for Season 32.

Well…I wouldn’t think GreyCrow and I made it monotonous, it was a battle worth keeping an eye on.
The SFA rucks are awesome - every one of us. 😁👍

MannumPower's mid-season move to the Phoenix opened up an opportunity for Swamprats captain-in-waiting GremioPower to take over the rucking duties, and if he had more time in the spot, he might have been even higher in the rankings come the end of the season. GP didn't leave anything on the line in his duels, with 5 wins, 0 draws and 4 losses as a record. Congratulations to GremioPower for your 6th placed finish in The Edge Power Rankings for Season 32.

Last year's All-SFA ruck Muddiemoose came into the season with lofty expectations and started extremely well, even sitting atop the rankings after 3 rounds. Much like Hate though, the Moose had a very inconsistent season and his form nosedived in the middle section, dropping to 10th at stages. He managed 3 wins from his last 4 ruck duels to regain some face and finishes 5th in The Edge Power Rankings for Season 32.
