The Bombers travelled to Van Cordlandt Park to take on the Warriors but took some time to get going, kicking just one goal in the first term. A near perfect two quarters followed as the Bombers kicked 9.1 to 0.1 on their way to a 29-point win. Six players scored 65+ Dream Team points but Kilroy was the standout with 17 disposals, seven marks and five tackles.

The Dragons hosted the East Side Phoenix in a see-sawing battle that saw them overcome a four-goal deficit late in the second quarter to hit the lead late in the third term and hold on for a five-point win. Ljp86 was best afield for the Dragons with 18 disposals and three goals.

Match of the round sees the second-placed Dragons travel to Abdu Prison to take on the third-placed Bombers for a chance to displace Gumbies FFC at the top of the ladder. Depending on other results, these two sides could face off against one another again next week as a Gumbies loss and Phoenix win will see these two teams finish first and fourth while a Gumbies win and Phoenix loss will see these teams stay where they are.

The Dragons have been blessed with high possession games this season that has seen multiple players at or near the top of the statistical tables. T2B_ and Pie 4 Life should feature on Moobs Medal night while Bonz is in the running for the Fred Medal and Bradesmaen has collected the fourth-most disposals in the league this season. The Bombers’ standout statistic this season is marks, with a league-leading 900 with RobR (83) and Jabba73 (81) leading the way.
