Official Match Thread Season 38, Round 13: Fighting Furies v Gumbies FFC at rfctigerarmy's hippodrome

Last time they met: Season 34, Round 13
The Furies came out the blocks running, leaving the Gumbies in their dust as Fighting reached the first break with a 6-goal-to-1 lead. The Gumbies responded with a 5-goal-to-2 second quarter and it became clear that the day’s victor would be the team who used the team best. After 2 more quarters of wind-assisted play, the Furies came out on top to the tune of 18 points with JyeDye and Fridgey voted the best players as Sky was the main highlight for the Gumbies.

What I want to talk about though is Transformers One. Did you know that Transformers used to be an animated TV show, not just a terrible franchise of live-action movies? Yeah apparently, this concept of vehicles turning into Gundams had been around for 2 decades before Michael Bay showed up. Anyways, Transformers One takes place before all of this happens, it’s a prequel about why there’s a war on their home planet in the first place. You have Thor playing one of the lead characters alongside Paper Boi Miles, Black Widow and Not Peele. I’m not one to tell people what to do, what I am saying though is that I have nothing else to talk about as I didn’t wanna talk about Furries or Geelong. So if you’re gonna go to the movie theatre in this economy, watch something worth your while, make sure it’s a day that the cinema gives a discount, and watch Transformers One (and The Wild Robot but do Transformers One first).

While the Transformers live action films are peak Michael Bay, they did have prime Megan Fox for a while which is a pretty significant positive.
