omgfridge I'm binging Truffaut as his films are about to leave Mubi (and I'm laid up with a recurrence of this horrible flu strain this weekend). The 400 Blows last night, Shoot the Piano Player and Jules & Jim today. I'll watch The Last Metro tonight, and see if I can fit in some the other films of the Antoine Doniel saga as well.

Jules & Jim probably my favourite of them (though I feel the time frame was rushed towards the end, and I don't feel the main female character's enduring infatuation was overly realistic), and Shoot the Piano Player was quite good. The Last Metro wasn't bad, and had a good twist at the end.
