I would have thought that rain in Baghdad would be almost as rare as a Wonders flag.

I got two more runs; 5km tonight and 30km tomorrow and then I’m free for 10 days! Can’t wait

Taper time?
I had a trail event yesterday.
21km through the Boudhi national Park.
Beautiful, but very difficult with my current level of fitness.
So many stairs!
At one point 270m of elevation in one consistent climb. 1.2km of straight stairs.
I survived.
Definitely type 2 fun.

A DIP INTO HISTORY:
As we know, twenty years ago both these clubs were born. But, did you know it is just over twenty years to the day since the first Bombers-Gumbies match up (5 November 2004).

Coming into the match both teams had contrasting fortunes in season 4. The Gumbies won 5 of their first 6 matches but were in the midst of a losing streak meanwhile the Bombers lost their first 4 but hadn't lost since. And, so it continued with the Bombers thumping the Gumbies in their first clash.

As is expected from a match from twenty years ago, 39 of the 40 players are no longer active in the Sweet FA. One is though- ant555 was a Bombers player that day.

As for season 4, the Bombers would go on to play the first of their many grand finals (a rare losing one), the Gumbies meanwhile finished 11h (out of 13 teams) and started a tradition by earning 2 penalty points.
