A*mazing
While I get the essence of this rule's existence and its reasons for such, I think in the case where it's a new player to the Sweet FA as opposed to a returning player, then there should be a caveat or exception to this rule that allows any/all rookies to play without restriction in their first season. It just defeats every effort we make to make this game inclusive.
It's now on you AnUltimateRessie Gralin to consider this.
This is broader than just you. This place is great and has been around for over 20 years however in recent times, we're struggling to capture new people to the place. Setting up restrictions on new people to have fun in the place is not in line with everything else we strive to do here. Swamprats are in the 8 and a good chance of making finals and a rookie, fresh to the league is ruled out completely from possibly 4 weeks of playing and potentially winning a premiership over some inactive flog who hasn't posted in 4 seasons. It's just not right.
Additional to that point, we're now in that period where clubs are encouraged by the rules to not recruit. Any attempts to recruit now typically come with "well, let's sign you for next season in 2 months time, can you hold off until then?" in a day and age where attention spans are shorter than can you believe that India is at war with Pakistan? That's just crazy Johns was a good company...

, and will be happy to guide you if desired.
