Melbourne beat Geelong by a point. This has huge implications. Suddenly our round 22 clash with Port Adelaide has huge implications. I'm not claiming us favourites, but even if we lose to the Saints we may still be in with a chance against Port.

11 wins will be enough depending on %.

Geelong play Richmond at skilled in round 22 which they'd probably be favoured to win.

If we lost to the saints and beat port, and Geelong beat Richmond, we'd still be behind on percentage and the Bullies look fairly good things to win their last 3.

I think it'll take 2 wins to get it, but results may go the right way to sneak in on 11.

Brisbane have tough run too, and who knows when Jonathon Brown will return. They play Sydney and the Saints away and port at the Gabba. The best case scenario is for the crows to win the showdown, port to beat Brisbane then Freo beat port. We also want richmond to beat the bulldogs tomorrow. The tigers have a poor percentage and it would prevent the bulldogs the opportunity to win 12 games.

i hate to be cynical, but after last nights "2nd quarter surrender", we all know our season is over
Yhee of little faith - Its not over until the final whistle. Its still along way to go. Glad you are not on my team. You just chuck it in so easily.

Just done the ladder predictor. We won't have enough pecentage to get into the Top 8 if we get 11 wins. We will need to beat St.Kilda and Port. All of a sudden the season looks so bleak

We can still miss out if we win both (if Gee and Bris win both and Dogs win both by big margins and we win by small margins), we can still make it if we lose both (we lose both by a point, Gee and Bris lose both by >10 goals, Rich loses to Hawks, Melb loses both). Not likely outcomes, but possible outcomes (and I'm talking normal 0-70 point margins, not 200 point margins or anything stupid.)

20-22 points is 1%. We are about 5-6 % behind Bris and Geelong and about 2.5% up on the Dogs. So that's about a 100-120 point difference for Bris/Geelong and 50 points on the Dogs. When you think that both our and their % can move, it isn't much.

As much as it hurts to say it... lets hope the Wiggles smash the Pussy's tomorrow.

2005 had been looking bleak for a long time, it has just been obscured recently by our 5 wins on the trot.

I don’t know about you blokes, but for me to say the season has been moderately successful would take a finish in the 8 and a competitive effort in the final/s (even if we lose the first). As you guys have pointed out this now seems a bit unlikely.

Thank God for Pav, while everything else has gone awry this guy has been developing into an AFL elite.

I'm hoping for that but I'm more worried about tonight. We lose tonight we can pretty much write off this season, realistically.

Ive been doing a bit of Ladder Predicting also.

I disagree with dominguez about the bris/port game. I'd rather brizzy win. If they win port are out, full stop. Once port know they cant make it I'd say they will be flat next week. If port win they will come at us next week like there is no tomorrow. derr.

ThePope mentioned us not making the 8 even winning the last two and making the eight by not winning any. Which theoreticaly gives us lots of scope in the middle.

Plenty of combinations get us in with one win. I'd prefer 2 wins.

Winning tonight is the best place to start. Then weevils and brizzy winning would complete a trifecta.

I've tipped the Cats though, looking at the weather and what they have to play for, I reckon they will win. The toast will treat this game a training/set play game. They wont tire themselves out at SS. Any way (geez this hurts) mfmfmf carn the eagles. oh puke.....
