I think I get it now.
Season 2021 is like a fresh pair of skinny jeans.

At home we look stunning & have all the confidence in the world. But once we get out & about we seem to come unstuck.
Even though sometimes we get some positive feedback, we don't quite have the stamina to stay out late & compete with the big boys.
So what do you do? You go home, get wet & put it all on the line the following week.

Let's hope we stay nice & wet with slick ball movement because just like those skinny jeans once we get dry we can no longer penetrate the opposition defence.
At this stage there is only one thing left to do and that is we have to fold those jeans.

Winning this would rate right up there with the 2018 GF.Cant see it but ya never know
For me it'd be like beating Collingwood in Rd 17 2018. Big hoodoo having not beaten them at the venue for something like 20 years, felt like the first time in a long while we might be good enough to get the job done and I have no doubt the confidence from that win helped further convince the players they were good enough to win that year.

This year it's still early days, and we have a pretty shocking injury list at the moment, but what better way to pump up the belief than to beat Geelong on their own shitheap. If the guys we have available can keep us in top 4 contention until the stars are back and get a huge scalp like the one coming up this week there's every reason to think we can be a contender this year.

Yeah also in 2018 we headed to GWS with a bunch of guys out and came away with a good 4 goal win.

I felt vibes that day. Same when we beat Hawks @ Etihad and Pies @ MCG.

The Port game too.

We were such a ****ing good team in 2018. Every game I felt we could win.

Except Norf in Tassie.

I’ve been a bit neg this year but if we win this we’re right back in it. Only the Saints game was an alarm bell, with the Dogs loss looking very decent in hindsight.

Season over pretty much in terms of contending, other than that what's the ****ing point? might as well just start getting games into some players and the likes of Yeo again and Rioli when he returns.
