All of the usual suspects posting in this thread I see... :drunk:

Who was honestly expecting a win against North this week in Hobart? Like honestly....

Season isn't over until the maths says it is, and considering our next 3 games are against GC (H), Brisbane (H), and Port (A), there's every chance we could get ourselves to 7-7 and still be well in the hunt.

Ffs guys! :tearsofjoy:
As I keep on saying we can make finals:thumbsu:

Our only hope of winning a flag is to put all our best players in the vfl and try to win the comp. No matter what we do we will never win a flag in the afl, and tbh we are unlikely to make a prelim in the next 20 years. It's just not in the nature of the club anymore.

Ha ha, something needs to change doesn't it!

Lids injury issues over last two seasons plus his contract kill the chances of anything close to a first round for him

Sheds isn't what the bombers need

Conca for a second round is insane

Longer has major concussion issues

Gws are making their push, they don't won't to trade away their gun players for kids now.

If we are gunna play the trade game, let's make them realistic
Okay
Edwards to Adelaide or Port for a second rounder
Vickery to collingwood ..second rounder or Witts
Brandon Ellis to the Hawks second rounder

Conca can't stay on the park so we won't get much if anything for him

First is more realistic

Vickery try a third. Cant play ruck properly and is playing like a third tall. Pies need someone to man up with Moore, not another Jessie White

Ellis is a tough one. His year has been horrid, so not sure how much that will effect his price. TBH, a pick in the late 30's / early 40's (dep upon academy picks) is probably not worth it for us though

Tom Rockliff will be a free agent at the end of 2017.

Let's offer a massive player trade to get him at the end of this year because Brisbane need shitloads of players to get them anywhere.

I'd offer Vickery, B.Ellis, Astbury and Batchelor. Maybe a late pick back and Rockliff.

It may seem like a package of our shit, which it sort of is, but it addresses a number of issues Brisbane have to a degree.

Offer next years first + Conca for Prestia.

Land Hurley do whatever it takes.

Mr/s #eci are you serious or trolling? We have no hope so why jeopardise our future winning to finish ninth as there is no reward for it?

With Vickery he is a much better set shot than White or Cloke for that matter ...I think they would offer a second rounder for him

As for Ellis I think the perception is we aren't playing him right ...he is naturally a runner / link man and he's not doing that at the moment ..I think the hawks might think they could use him better

Providing there is a taker otherwise you are Stuck with an overpaid list clogger on your list.
I'm confused? He's out of contract how can he be overpaid?

you think he's gunna get a $600k+ contract? seriously?
Who knows what a desperate club like Brisbane would pay. Just remember we can match the offer and then trade him. Nothing in the rules against it.

I have not been to many games this year due to being os.

Can we live with hampson in the ruck or not? his stats seem good but we all know what that means.

If not then a ruckman would be a good idea. And get the best free agent onballer we can

That would be a start.

Bc a club needs to put a number up or even worse knowing us we will most likely sign him up beforehand.

For the sake of being pedantic. and also because I'm yet to give up until it is PROVEN we can't make it.

In the world of mathematics and probability we can be back in 8th spot come the start of round 17. if everything comes together like an omlete.
Understanding that probable and realistic are not one in the same. it's highly unlikely, at the same time It's not 100% absolute that our season is done.

Sure, we drop another 2 games and you'd be crazy to bet on us making the grade and I'd probably murmer that were finished at that stage.
I still can't bring myself to quit on the club.

Try new things. Drummond is close to a return. Broad can play defence give him a crack.
Rotate the young guys through the side Markov, Menadue, Castagna, Butler. They don't have to play every week.

If Morris will go onto the long term injury list. Elevate another rookie and let them play straight away.
Give Marcon, Chol or Moore a shot at a few games.

find out who is hungry to be a tiger, who wants to win, who plays to win and keep them in the team even if they're a bit rusty. Reward the Tiger fight and the desire to win.

Don't be affraid to drop top players to send a message. If you don't perform you don't play. Make them earn their spot instead of having the best part of the side already written out on team selection day. Don't settle on an idea of a plan coming together. keep making it better.

Some might not agree but that's ok.
for me, that's what I'd like to see happen for the remainder of the season once we are surely done with any hopes of finals

Will he get higher or lower than what he's currently on ?
Believed to be $400k. I hope I read incorrectly on here , but this is the sum I read.
Probably right... Signed after 13 when he had a promising year after being injured in 12 and looking the goods in 11. We paid him on potential and what has he done...

Yeah but if a club puts a high number up we let him walk, if it's too low we keep him, in between is the only risk.
Agree , but we don't want to scare them off by over rating him.
Remember we are poor in this caper as I cannot recall a player we've traded off . We got zip for White I recall.

the other thing is now we have a reputation for being total mugs.

Even CFC played with us with Yarran for some doozy picks after the Docherty pick for Hampson.

Now the likes of King are talking down our recruiting and trading exploits one knows we are fighting from a position of weakness.

If we get rid of Hartley it might help with trading though

I dont think he'll get a big bump to move, it will be the chance to have a fresh start at a more successful club

in any case, I cant see him getting a 50% bump, full stop

I like your thinking agree with most have similar thoughts now just try selling that to dimma :( cause this coach is without doubt Mr ConservativeWick.

Only thing i can categorically say is we wont make the 8, trust me on that one this is nothing like 2014 to many sides have improved and our game plan is putrid.
