Scotland shouldn't get too comfortable either IMO, he gets the ball a fair bit but doesn't really do much damage, and won't be too hard to replace.

SCotland is pretty bloody good player when he is on song.

Gilly1972 is actually a good friend of mine. He was just making a joke and its just come off a little wrong. When he logs on some other time he will be a bit shocked. He does not post much but anyone who reads his stuff realizes he is always making a joke or 2 with me and its all harmless on both sides from him and myself. We were sending pms today about a couple of things and it happens all the time.

A nu,mber of other posters on here know me quite well and send pms and make a few jokes. Sometimes to others it might look like a bit disrespectful but trust me when I say its not. Its just those sort of posters know me fairly well from pms over the last few months and so they dont feel the need to explain there posts to much. Which is fine by me.

What I post on the boards now is what I used to post in pms anyway. Instead of people asking me by pms they ask me on the board (and keep more sensitive questions to private about the club etc) and I answer there. Thats why my posts have become longer and more detailed.

I dont think I need to say anything about what else happened here yesterday. People can judge for themselves. I will leave it at that. I post enough here and on different boards for people to know what I am like.

As for internet politics well I just like to talk football and always will. It would be a shame to stop doing that because of trolling. Hopefully it stops now.

mojo, great post. These were my feelings exactly but I just didnt really know why (well not so succinctly). This is one of your best posts. So often you talk of players (draft, current lst etc) but this one had more depth through comparisons, insight etc.

Ball carriers and deliverers are absolutely critical, there was limited mention of Davies in your report and I think he has a certain something, although appears to be quite a contentious issue.

1AW play has gone through the roof, his delivery is now at a stage that requires the rest of the team to step up a notch (damn you can hear his thump on the ball over the internet in London). Could this guy move into a more dominant mid-field Kouta role ?

Murphy had a great start and has excellent vision bu appears to be very slow, and kind of chips the ball around ala diesel. I noted that Hawthorn did a lot of excellent play set up and disposal by hand as well. Perhaps its not just pure leg speed that we need but better delivery ?

Can we get Kennedy in early for a taste and inspire him ?

WHAT was Fish doing in the back line in the last quater agaist the hawks ?

Murphy is not express but certainally not slow.

I think AW can become a midfielder but it is certainally not guaranteed he will. We try him there and if its not working we can always push him back. He is about to turn 20 so is still a baby learning the game. Pure athlete but not as football smart as Murphy. They take longer to come along just like JR will.

Kennedy does not need any inspiration really. He is as hard as they come and will give everything he has. Its just his 100% at the moment is really more like 75% becauswe he has not had a proper pre season. Its like January for him now. He might come in next week depending on hiw he oes and Deluca.
Its either in a week or in 3 or 4. Makes no difference really.
Just when he is fitter and over a few niggles and they are 100% on his shoulder.

Your right about our lacking of kicking skill and good decision makers. Thats the area we need to address.
Its a bit like a job interview process for any draftee from now on in.

If not a resounding yes to all then not interested sorry as far as midfielders go. They dont have to kick it like Buckley but has to be well above average for a 1st/2nd round pick and dont have to be as quick as Deledio. The criteria falls as you get to the 3rd/4th round but still need a 7/10 for all 3.

Sorry ODN and others, i can see with the absence of context in this medium my sarcasm would go undetected. I was just giving mojo a 'ribbing' this could have been taken the wrong way. i am actually not a member on any other sites, i can see how this might have been misconstrued.
