Bartel was on his way through and got caught out by Rodan pushing back hard from the mark. Bartel did not have much time to stop and go around. Maybe if he had ridden the bump and gone back the way he came, but with so little time to do anything about it.......

It was good to see Bartel not remonstrate though, just a little shake of the head and on with the game.

don't quote me on this but doesn't the individual who takes the mark (Rodan) have to be facing their teams goals (rather than running the other way to push back for the kick)..for it to be 50 metres when the player (bartel) runs through? If so, Rodan was definitely facing the other way as he ran back to take his kick...therefore should not have been 50

2nd half was crap i posted at half time how good they were but it was down hill from there.

yeah very poor second half ,we should really smashed them ,the next few weeks the boys better play 4 quarters you cant all ways get away with 2 quarters ........great first half butt

By the second half we were into wet weather footy. The guys clearly backed off a level or two, Port Adelaide were working harder, and it was harder to score anyway. No point doing a knee or an ankle by going in too hard. We missed a bunch of easy shots. In those conditions, there was never going to be another Richmond runnover, as much as it looked as if it was heading that way in the 2nd!
