Hey guys, Just 1 question as i havent seen any of our new recruits ever, Is Beams a ready made footballer. I know we desperately need that in and under player but is he ready to play seniors 2009.

By all reports he seems to fit the mould perfectly but is he ready, dont get my hopes up here guys, honest truth.

Would we be happy to see 10-12 games out of this kid or is that unrealistic.

Same applies for Sidebottom, ready to go or development?

beams is bigger then sidey and has been playing seniors in the QAFL last year (albeit on the wing), but both are on the small side.

Both could play AFL especally if the scrath match form continues but they are about as ready as Thomas and pendlebury were in thier first years.

So know Mick they could at least play 10 Games as a Minimum, Reason Pendles did not play as much because he has Gangelier(Spelling?) Fever

Glandular fever and yes that is correct.

they need weight but if they have VFL form or pre season form then yes i wouldnt be surprised to see them play

on a serious note im pumped that the newbies are playing as well or better then out established stars. If they can do their jobs and not be carried then its going to be a some exciting times coming up.

In regards to Beams, he is pretty big for a 17 year old. Without putting the mocker on him i think he will be our hard ball general for years to come aka Scotty Burns.

Jezz 9 is Early that would mean I would had to get between 6:30 and 7am because I would have to Catch a Train from Frankston and That would take and Hour and Bit to get there but I see when it Starts there might be a Chance I could get there

I think they do it for the Players to look at and see what they can improve but I wish they could put the Whole Game up Because I would love to see it and Same with the Intra-Club Match
