So our 3 best batsmen are now unavailable for the summer, we could be in for our first ever series defeat to India on home soil. Hopefully the Marsh brothers don't get picked so at least we have some sort of chance in the series.

Pretty confident the Marsh brothers would contribute in a home series (even with what India did to Shaun a few years back).

Had a good finish to last year and kept an eye on early form. I reckon could be a good pick to bat at 5 or 6

By my calculations there are 4 more shield games before the squad should be picked. The upcoming T20's in the UAE are a real nuisance, everyone should be making a case for being picked for the first test. Put a couple of innings together and chances are you're going to be picked I'd say.

I think there will only be 3 changes for the Indian series, Cummins and hazlewood in and renshaw in for usman.

On the flipside our pace attack is likely to be fit and firing and we've got Lyon who is comfortably the worlds best spinner in Australian conditions. If any of the 3 pacemen are below fitness we have a host of depth lead by Jackson Bird.
