Both Rafter and Hewitt play tonight. Channel 9 televising the Rafter match at 9.30.
I think Hewitt can go all the way if he can get over Agassi in the next round.

Agassi will be tough to beat and Sampras has an easy path to the Final, so if Hewitt or Rafter wanna win this thing there gonna have to beat the 2 best tennis players in the world. But i suppose if you do win then it feels all the better.

I like both Rafter and Hewitt, but after last year, I think most people like to see Pat win.
Either way, both of them are playing very well, so good luck to them both :)

Well I reckon Hewitt will go all the way.
Him and Rafter have a possible semi finals match-up. But I fansy Hewitt, hes playing well and is undefeated on Grass this year.
Although Rafter could prove a threat to Hewitt and could very easily beat him in the semi final.
Good luck to both men, Go AussiE Go

jod,
Sampras has got Ivanisavic, Rusedski, Martin & Henman in his part of the draw all these players are grass court specialists.Rusedski & Ivanisavic have been pretty awesome so far, Ivanisavis served 41 aces in his game against Rod****!

The other half of the draw looks a lot easier with only Aggassi, Hewitt & Rafter a real chance.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rafter win it I think he's a good bloke it'd be a tough but really good game if he played Aggassi in the semis.
You wonder whether Hewitt could beat Aggassi as they play a pretty similar game but he' won about 15 games in a row on grass so you wouldn't want to bet against him.

Ps who was that Aussie chick with the really tight skirt & tight top?She had a superb body it was really heartbreaking for me when she got knocked out.

Dipper - i dont think Ivansevic, Henmen, Rusedski or Martin will provide any sort of challenge to Sampras. Besides he wont have to play all 4 of them. Anyways i think Sampras is a certainty for the final and will face either Rafter Hewitt or Agassi.

Hewitt has won 2 straight tounraments on grass and is in good form but as they say, every win brings you closer to your next loss. Agassi is .. well Agassi. He's one of the greatest tennis players of this generation and probably of all time and he will be the big hurdle for either Rafter or Hewitt to continue towards the final. As for Pat, well we know he's been in this sort of territory before, he's a two time grand slam winner and beat Agassi last year in the semi's. So he can do it, whether or not he can finally beat Sampras in the final is another question.

Well i take back everything i said about Sampras, he wont even get the chance to play Henman or Rusedski or Ivanesivic because he is gone.

Beaten by 20 year old swiss Roger Federer in 5 sets!! Quite an upset.

Rafter is slowly finding some form and if he can get past Enquist the probable match up with Agassi will be a ripper. Their semi final last year is one of the best Wimbledon matches I have ever seen, unbelievable standard. Let's hope Pat can roll him again.

With Sampras out I think the winner will come from the Aggassi/Rafter side of the draw. In the womens the Williams sisters are going along nicely but I'd love to see Capriati keep it going. Dark horse could be Lleyton's girlfriend.

I just hope none of the Williams sisters, Davenport or Capriati win because there all annoying and are half men half women. These girls would beat half of the male tennis players! I hope either Kim Clijsters or Justine Henin wins it.

Just on womens tennis, have anyone else noticed the amazing gap between maybe 10 tennis players and the rest of the world. In the men there are a lot of good players which was shown by Escude beating Hewitt and Federer upsetting Sampras, there is a lot of depth in mens tennis. But womens is shocking!!

There is Hingis, Serena, Venus, Capriati, Davenport, Clijsters, Henin, Dokic, Seles, Peirce, Kourikova, Mauresmo. Thats 12 players. Going into any grand slam of late, these women are the only real chance of winning it. After that the talent drops off steeply. The main reason is probably because of the power of these girls which makes Hingis look even more impressive. Even though she hasnt won a grand slam since 99 she is still ranked Number 1 in the world and im sure her next GS title isnt far away.

Well, I'll put the kiss of death on Pat Rafter (Go Pat!!) and in the women's..... it doesn't really bother me (thankfully Hingis lost in the first round, yay!! :) ) though I'd like to see Capriati win again.

And to Anna, please get that foot right so we can see you prance about at the US Open. :)

Firstly, its WIMBLEDON.
Rafter has got a great chance but it will be hard to get past Agassi in the semi finals. The winner of that will probably win the tournament.
In the womens, Capriatti is looking really good. She is in great form. Its a tough one against Serena Williams tonight, if she wins that she has a great chance to win three slams in a row.

Despite the first set in Rafter's game last night, he played a very good match - the fourth set was very entertaining when that young Russian (I dont even want to attempt his name) came back.
Meanwhile I thought Hewitt's match was fantastic - both players played well, but unfortunately hewitt didn't get through :(

Jod,
Seeing Sampras go out was a shock to me too-I told you he had the harder draw I just forgot to mention Fedderer(sp?)LOL!
I reckon we're now looking at Ivanesivic making the final, the guy looks really pumped up for it & is serving like a dream even Aggassi will struggle to break him.
It'll be tight between Aggassi & Rafter if they meet in the semis but I pick Aggassi to edge it (unfortunately)

My tip for the men's title-Goran Ivanisevic

My tip for the women's title-Serena Williams

Did anyone see Serena's press conference last night??:p

1% of questions were on tennis
30 % on Venus williams!
20% on how she likes England and europe
and 49% on bloody what she plans on wearing

LOL, poor bitch

I like Ivanisevic and it would be great to see him win after three runner ups but i dont think he has the all around game that Rafter and Agassi possess. For me the winner will be whoever wins the Rafter Agassi semi.

The women im hoping for a Clijsters Henin final, im sick of the Williams sisters, Davenport and Capriati.

Nope not going to happen. Clijsters was beaten by Davenport 6-1 6-2.

I'm gunning for Capriati or Henin (who play each other in the semis). Cannot stand Venus Williams nor Lindsay Davenport.

I'm definitely on the Capriati bandwagon. Imagine the looks on the faces of Williams, WIlliams, Hingis etc if she actually got the Grand Slam!
