(Edited, because this season has been so shit I can no longer count...)

In keeping with the overall positive vibe of this forum after yet another pathetic season, I thought I'd ponder which of our first year/rookie players are likely to suffer the 2nd year blues next year.

We know statistically that that the pace/grind catches up with a lot of young players in the second year, so wondering who's likely to go backwards next year (not counting injury, which of course will probably wipe out the rest of the squad again).

I'll go first....

Special mention to Kako as well who is unlikely to be as durable as he has been this year (and one of the very few shining lights).

McMahon - honest battler with a great boot, but will be found out and kept away from goals

Caddy - opposition will be all over him, and he'll take time to get going unfortunately.

On the plus side, Archie Roberts to kick-on and continue his good form (and likely to get suspended at least twice).

I mean Caddy and Roberts are already in their second years but okay.

Zak Johnson will get called ‘Jak Zohnson’ and a key forward by Jason Dunstall and then proceed to give up six goals to pinch hitting forward Ryan Lester playing on the half back flank.

Clarke is the most likely for me. He's playing a tough role and could struggle. Nguyen as well maybe.
