Security for a MacBook Pro?

I've had mine for 2 years and it hasn't skipped a beat in terms of viruses. That inlcudes visiting dodgy websites, downloading torrents, passed around hard drives from mates. To be honest I wouldn't bother but I am pretty sure Norton do a Mac version.

Just make sure you keep you software up to date and you should be good, Apple do a good job in ensuring that each software update upgrades the security on its programs.

Good luck with your computer, they're great machines

Get third party protection software, update regularly and don't believe that you are immune to security exploits just because you own a Mac.

Earlier this year, Secunia reported that Apple recorded more vulnerabilities than other major software vendors and have been in the top two for this category since 2007.

As with all OS flavours, do a bit of research on securing yourself. This could save you some headaches in the future.
