Seedsman gone?

I don't get the resentment over player departures. It's all part of the business these days. Seeds moving on does not appear to be a one way decision either. A bit similar to Heath and Harry; a mutually beneficial parting of ways. If we wanted to keep him then we would have.

On that note Id be happy with either 28 or 32 for him. Thanks for the 49 games Lezzy now let's move on.

Well said.
It's the ones that leave in Daisy mould that deserve our angst, (if at all).

Obviously you guys can rate your own players how you see fit but I can't see something like this happening. For starters I don't think it's fair. I'm not sure how a player not in your best 22 plus pick 26 gets you pick 13. Secondly, it would leave the Crows with 4 picks inside 32 and it seems likely that we will only be taking in the 3 live picks required, making one of these redundant. Thirdly, given our lack of high draft picks in recent times I'd be amazed if we were to give up 13 in order to facilitate a trade for someone not in the best 22 of the team he's moving from... Stranger things have happened though...

Yeah I think most people would agree a fit PS is a best 22 player and given was BOG on Anzac Day gives him currency along with how heavily he was courted by you and others. My scenario was something we should aim for but if as reported GWS and Essendon doing a deal on 8 and two in the 20s then this makes what I proposed look cheap.

The way things are at the moment, even with one more player being delisted (and we only have two uncontracted left), if the draft were held today we'd not actually be able to use the pick 28 we got for Dangerfield as a live selection - pretty sure we're chasing Sydney, Gold Coast, GWS and St Kilda to upgrade our picks, not downgrade them, so I can't see us being willing to offer 9 or 13 in a package deal with Collingwood. I think we'll be aiming for a straight swap for 32 or 28, though one of the many, many rumours has us offering Kerridge and 28 to Carlton for 20 - 13 + 20 being a compelling set of Academy points for those with a top 8 pick who need them.
Think you're right, something's brewing with 28 otherwise the Seedsman trade would have been done by now.

Would never put Harry in the category of Heath or Seeds. Both are smart ball users with great kick ability. Harry was a prancing pony with no idea what he was doing.

The reference wasn't related to them being similar players but that both player
and club had reasons for seeking new homes.
