Unfortunately not, the competition i'm referring to had national teams and was played in the 2000s I believe.
Reading the Wikipedia page on the CEAFL it references to Aussie Rules International. That group was formed by Brian Clarke who was active in Europe and England in that period from 2003 through to 2008, and inniated a few projects.
We will digress to another topic which is related.
There was no AFL Europe then and it took an article by a Perth Journo who travelled to checkout the situation in Europe AFL wise and Germany particularly that the game needed assistance to get off its knees and go forward.
In Germany at that time the game was partially relying on the Gridiron sport for assistance. That is what attracted the Journo to Germany in the first place, who later wrote a 2 page spread in the West Australian and was scathing of the AFL. That article went nationwide.
As a partial result of that scenario and other things AFL Europe was created later.
Here is an article by The Wookie 4 years ago on the German League which discusses the above about how the German League in 2009 was thinking of getting NFL affiliate assistance, and the lack of support from the AFL.
People who ignore the past are at their peril and are doomed to repeat the mistakes.

In what way ? By a merger ? obviously not a merger at game level.
How was "the German League in 2009 was thinking of getting NFL affiliate assistance"?

The reality of the time was that Germany was lagging behind other European countries that had forged ahead without any AFL assistance.
AFL Europe was created without any specific direction towards Germany so I don't see any journalism involved in it's creation.
In fact, AFL Europe is if anything Britain-centric.
AFL Europe was created in helping established entities with clinics and goal post grants as well as the mentioned tournament organisation not recruitment.

The AFLG and the CFNA have blossomed in the last decade due to the work of volunteers and a little organisational skill from AFL Europe.
The main reason the AFLG has blossomed because it belatedly accepted 9-a-side as a development tool as the French did from the beginning.

they don't seem to be documented anywhere.

That's understandable. There was a great deal of information on wiki and it was lost in an immense purge of AFL information.
Every American club was removed and only the USAFL as a league was left and I think that was true of all overseas clubs.
Since then nobody has been bothered updating wiki w.r.t. AFL as there are some very jealous admin at wiki.

Serious? That's quite weird, people are/can actively delete sports?

Totally serious. Wiki is basically run by rl freaks. Don't believe me ?
Look up Lathlain Oval. It raves on about rl when it really hosted a couple of bs dinsaur night games.
It gives one line to the history of the WAFL there and nothing to the importance of the ground and the large crowds ir supported during the WAFL era. You cannot add the fact that Lathlain Oval was headquarters to the Sunday League which was a semi-pro league drawing substantial crowds pre-AFL. No mention of course of the S.F.L. home team the Raiders and no mention of the of the Perth F.C.'s glorious history.
Sport on wiki is totally torpedoed.

That's almost funny - I thought png was rugby league's highest seat of pre eminence - turns out its Wikipedia!

Meanwhile, despite the sweeping history provided by wiki, USA rl appears to be a 12 team, 8 game competition curiously timed in summer after the end of the rugby union season...

Your lathering oval page has changed btw
