Seen but not Hird

Its most important that the AFL brand keeps a good image so it's seen as a sport which improves personal skills, cooperation, leadership, health, social skills etc etc than a sport that is tainted with drug culture and associated ladism.

Yep. They don't even have scores, league tables etc in junior footy now until they turn 11 years old. It's one big love in. They are fiercely concerned about their image and the influence of soccer mums.

Is it true Bombers have said they are withdrawing from NAB if drug breaches are not backdated?

Is this the funniest attempt of an ultimatum that I've Hird ? (Boomtish)

If they get suspended, then the suspensions will more than likely be backdated from the end of the 2014 season. Giving them a free 4-5 months off. If they play in the NAB games then the backdating goes out the window and they will miss the whole season even if they only get a 6 month suspension.

That's why the club is saying they won't play the NAB games without assurances from the AFL that the backdating will still be from the end of 2014.

That's insane.

This issue has been really poorly reported, and I am quoting this as it is actually quite a reasonable thing for the players to be saying. They need some assurance from the AFL about when possible suspensions may begin. I think they should stand down from the NAB if the outcome is not already know. I also think they should be suspended from training together, although clearly there are major privacy concerns for the players.
