Some classic George.

Is anyone going to Jason Alexander's stand up show touring here? He's got hair now.

Saw his interview on Ten late news the other night. Was quite good.

Said he embraced the role of George, unlike other actors who distanced themselves from their most famous roles, like Shatner and Captain Kirk.

Yeah I saw that interview.

He said he gets a lot of guys coming up to him and saying they're just like George, I'd be in that boat too, and he said it's really not a good thing to be like George.

It's hard to divorce him from that character though, he's always going to be George whether he likes it or not.

George Costanza is the greatest tv character of all time though imo so you can't ever top that.

Agree, closely followed by LD's portrayal of himself in CYE

Yeah CYE and Larry is great too.

Basil Fawlty is also up there as a tv character, like George and Larry he just digs himself in to worse trouble by lying to cover up stuff.

I can watch endless repeats of Seinfeld, CYE and Fawlty Towers and still laugh every time. There's no real punchlines or jokes in any of those shows, it's just hilarious situations with things going wrong for horribly flawed funny people.

So he should have. Made him a household name around the world, and very very well off.
He was a big part of most probably the best show ever made.

Watched "The Tape" tonight!!
