I did a Seinfeld bus tour in New York which takes you to all the Seinfeld sites like the diner and the soup store that the Soup Nazi episode was based on. The bus was mostly made up of Aussies too, the Yanks are quite perplexed why our country has such an obsession with this show.

Lol was it the bus that is run by Kenny Kramer?

Tom's Restaurant is certainly on my tourist hit-list, along with the exterior of Jerry's apartment in LA and the real 129 West 81st St. Must do Kenny Kramer Reality Tour!

I killed, Jerry. Killed.

No it wasn't the Kenny Kramer or the J Peterman tours, can't remember the name of it. They had a few Seinfeld tours there, this was back in 1999 so the show was still fresh in peoples imagination, not sure what tours they have now.

The Soup Nazi place was closed, it shut over the summer so no soup for us. Disappointing as I was looking forward to ordering a medium turkey chilli and a medium crab bisque.

Hell of an episode, some of Elaine's best work when she casually strolls up to the counter, taps her hands on it and tells the Soup Nazi he looks 'exactly like Al Pacino' and he gives her a 1 year ban.

Also love the way Jerry cuts his girlfriend loose when they get busted kissing in the line by the Soup Nazi.

Girlfriend - "C'mon Jerry we're leaving"

Jerry - "Do I know you?"

Seinfeld is the greatest tv show of all time, it ended 15 years ago and we're still talking about that show about nothing.

incredible. i had to check on wiki that you were right. still remember it like it was yesterday. i rate it above the simpsons of that era. not by much, both great shows. my 1-2 of my teenage years. incredible how much they influenced my sense of humour. maybe not that healthy, but i'd take than then the current generation being bought on my kitchen rules, the voice and so on and go and get ****ed

also re; popularity elsewhere. spent plenty of time in backpacker hostels over the years and english and irish people barely know of it's existence.

Yeah hard to believe it's 15 years ago that it finished, it's aged quite well though and a lot of the situations are as relevant today as they were back then.

Still my favourite tv show of all time, can't see anything else ever topping it.

Probably the same as us wondering why Poms would come halfway around the world to get on a tour bus through Nunawading to see Ramsay St. At least Seinfeld is funny, have no idea of the obsession with Neighbours

that is very true.

thinking back as a teenager i probably had simpsons 1 seinfeld 2, but definitely now i get more laughs watching old seinfeld shows than i do watching old simpsons shows. they both are still very funny. i could probably watch a seinfeld show 10+ times in a month and still get a kick out of it, not too many simpsons ep's i would say that about.

Yeah never really understood that myself.

The Poms love Home and Away too, I guess watching a show set near a beach with sunny weather is an escape from the dreariness of an English winter.

Yeah it has a high rewatchability factor, never get sick of rewatching old episodes. Guess that's why the reruns still rate so well.

Thats the great thing about Seinfeld. Really hasn't aged at all, whilst other shows around in the same era are just awful. Still watch it when I am channel surfing through Foxtel.

Whether it's a book, song, movie, video game or whatever, they always say the sign of a true classic is something that can still be good no matter how old it gets. Seinfeld is certainly that. Still relevant, still funny, still worth watching.

I went there in Jan, I had good food and it was cheap.

If you do a tour in Hollywood they take you past the hotel that Kramer was staying at in the LA/Kramer Serial Killer double episode
