When would reputations ever mean nothing when selecting?
You can’t change a lot of players week to week unless you have injuries and you certainly don’t change the tall/small/run structure of the team unless forced by injury and/or form.
A gun will get more chances to return to form over a rookie due to their ceiling, it’s how it always is and you need to get the guns firing to win flags.
Amiss, Switta or Darcy aren’t in the best form atm but not many are banging down the door that “selection integrity” is at risk. Darcy probably closest but giving a Doig medalist one more game over a new recruit when we just won by 8 goals isn’t a huge leap.
