I wrote this on the post-game thread, but I agree selection cost us. Moore and Maynard are still too raw for AFL, I'm afraid. Kennedy and Dwyer would have been better - and with them, we would have won the game I reckon.

Maynard came up well, very good numbers and that left foot is a weapon Daniel Day Lewis could appreciate

Moore Needs more time in the VFL to develop - Leave him in one spot either forward or back
Maynard was ok - Would leave him in the side
Fasolo - Not great but who are we going to replace him with up forward?? The big show??

2 weeks in row, poor selections, poor sub choice, 1 expert on here rolled eyes and said to bed, I listened last week. But its history now, danger signs are here now, when fans can see obvious things that impact the result, and the coaches feel that development is first, then the result, then why the **** have I paid for my membership this year, should I be waiting until 2018 to see these raw kids fill out and give us all the satisfaction that goes with winning. Just a memo to the coaches, this is exactly why we have a reserve side for, Selection of first year draftees, over Marsh, Kennedy, Schrenberg, even experienced KP, Dwyer, Young, screams of incompetence, this shit is cannot continue. Just staggering that someone would of caught a glimpse of weather forecast and said ' Ahe Bucks its gunna piss down maybe be go a bit smaller, and maybe we put the sub choice Kennedy and give DeGoey a full game and ease out Moore for this one' just maybe. Amateur hour coaching, very Tony Shaw like coaching and selection, I can see a 8/8 coming up soon, just watch and those games wont be 6 point losses.

I have to agree. The fight was there though so I'm OK with it. And... development year.

Grundy should have started at the first bounce. He's harder at it than Witts. Wines got an early touch and went nuts. Needed Grundy's ground work in there.

Moore should have been dropped and BenKen bought in. Baffling to the outsider. Marley was a huge out. Sinkers probably not ready. Ramsay may have been handy too. We do seem to get injuries to all the same type of player.

Did Ben Ken fly across with the team though? I know Shaz and Brodes did.. Maybe that was the reason they went with Grundy

Do you remember one of your very first posts here 10 years ago?

You asked why some people were so negative here

You couldn't understand why people would come here to slag something they loved

Do you remember that post 9735 posts ago?

Out: Moore....

I agree with TG for once.
I don't think Moore should have played tonight.
I would have played him as a forward perhaps next week against WCE.
We needed speed & mobility tonight.
Williams was a huge loss.

All this talk of 2 ruckmen losing us the game... PORT HAD TWO RUCKMEN.
Not only that but Port had the same amount of talls forward and back.

We were hurt by player unavailability and injury not poor selection. The only knock in my opinion was the sub choice of DeGoey in what was a contested game.

Port subbed a ruckman out, had an extra runner after that, we should have been pro active and gone in mobile in the first place considering the weather and who came out of the side, then the Broomy injury doesn't hamstring you

you're still early on in your development.... a 1000 posts is nuffin around here. It's easy to be bright and breezy for a couple of 1000 posts, but what happens when you're let down time and time again. When players and coaches are leading you to believe that we're going to smash the rest of the competition and then in reality deliver what we've had to put up with in the last 3 weeks. I think patience wears thin and you get sick of being asked to put up with bad selection decisions and bad game plans...I used to be optimistic too but now I concentrate on the losses and dont worry about what is supposed to happen in the future...because it never does..
