.There's a difference between people watching and staring at single people. Do you sit there judging and watching someone sitting at a table by themselves? Or are they just another person in the room?
You're imagining things. When's the last time you took special notice of a single person in a restaurant?
If it even registered that you were alone they probably just assumed you were travelling on business or something. It's not like you have two heads.

if no-one cares that you're alone, and it's perfectly socially acceptable or whatever, why would someone need to rationalise why you're at a restaurant by yourself?
This never occured to me. There's other things I have come across recently that I have learnt people judge people on that had me scratching my head (because I'm love a good judge myself). if I remember them I will post to see what people think because I found them a bit absurd.for the record i have nothing against it, but am aware that some people will judge someone for doing certain things alone. the movies is prob the obvious one.
Who said anything about rationalising? I am talking about speculating.

How did what come about? Going alone... or how I had a shit time?
Going alone. Well both in fact.

Been to the movies a few times on my own, only during the day though where there are usually bugger all people there and quite a few other people are there on their own so it's no big deal, .

How about cinemas and you are the only one in there.
Has happened to me twice. Once tho in a zombie movie, bloody freaked me out.![]()
I worked at an old cinema place briefly in a town in Virginia selling tickets and candy and helping out with the projectors. The place was so quiet and boring during the day I'd often go in to the cinemas there and watch parts of the movies where there was just a few people watching it.
Wasnt working in a cinema the best. I loved it- was mainly on floor too, just wandering around the complex my whole shift, no supervisor to answer too. (Unlike shitty Candy Bar). Would have liked to been trained to work the projectors tho, never did that.
Eh, it's probably a union thing....Wasnt working in a cinema the best. I loved it- was mainly on floor too, just wandering around the complex my whole shift, no supervisor to answer too. (Unlike shitty Candy Bar). Would have liked to been trained to work the projectors tho, never did that.
I saw Crosby, Stills and Nash on my own, it was hard being a hippie in the time of grunge.
I take it you don't go to the movies very often...![]()

Cinema Paradiso in Northbridge has usually got a couple of good films on. Go alone from time to time. Usually more people in there by themselves than anything else, actually.
Head down to the WACA after uni sometimes and watch a few sessions of the Sheffield Shield, too. Love doing it.
^ Sheffield Shield, a good book or mag and a nice warm day - nothing better. Shame WA cant bat long enough to warrant a decent stay.
The old projectors there were a bloody nightmare to operate though, they were trying to train me to take over from the projectionist who was leaving. You had to thread the film around and through all these little pulleys and levers, it was really complicated to set the films up. Even if you got it all right it could still stuff up, where the sound would get out of synch with the picture or the picture would scroll down the screen. I'd imagine the projectors in modern day cinemas would be easier to operate but it's not the cruisy job most people think it is.
Heard you saw a **** spliced onto something else once.
