Well, at least Maccas back and he looks like he'll play forward :thumbsu:. Aw but I just hope Craig picks Walker. But if McGregor gets picked we're toast. :thumbsd:

Note to self #1:

McGregor is slow.

Check.

Note to self #2:

Craigy must not choose McGregor.

Check.

Note to self #3:

Taylor Walker must play.

Check.

Ah, thats better.

Mcgregor?

Yeah thats what we need, a decoy forward, that'll kick a winning score :thumbsd:

Our legit forwards can't even kick a winning score :thumbsd:

Seen nothing in Mcgregor's SANFL form to suggest he deserves a spot in the side, any side in the AFL.

As has been said by others, I'd rather lose with a youngster than win with Mcgregor in the side. What, he might pull out a fluke 3 goal game, even at his best the most hed kick was 4 goals, I'm sure one fluke game will be enough for Neil to keep him in the side for the rest of the year and give him a contract extension, as he got a 2 year deal for one 4 goal game. Yet other guys who are more consistent and in better form like Luke Jericho (not saying much) get dropped like no tomorrow.

Mcgregor isn't the answer.

He is too slow for SANFL footy, let alone AFL.

If he is picked, Neil isn't going to be Adelaide Coach for too much longer.

Somehow I think Craigys a bit attached to McGregor, in these situations he would rather pick him than a youngster imo. Looks like craig has a lot of faith in him. :(

There is faith, and then there is blind faith.

Though I'm sure we will all enjoy another -3 Dreamteam game by Ken Mcgregor.

IS this the same McGreogor that has had about 1 touch in his last 2 AFL games or did we recruit a new McGregor that i didnt hear about?

Why do we insist on being such a boring footy club.

No offence to Kenny, but if he ever plays for us again I will be both saddened and dissapointed. Id rather Hentschel went out there on one leg.

Note to self #4:

Kenny McGregor- The Resident Sloth of the Adelaide Football Club

We have a minimum of two changes, possibly as many as 4 - Burton, Porplyzia, Campbell, Griffin. No reason why Macca's return should preclude Tex making his debut.
i wasn't incinuating that, mcloed is an instant starter every time, but the thought of playing mcgregor ahead of someone like tex is just plain silly.

why wouldn't you want to blood a youngster with gueniune potential instead of playing a "has-been" (and i know thats tough on kenny, but he shouldn't ever play for us again!)

Sorry but these attacks on McGregor are starting to go too far, yes he has struggled in the last few seasons – but he is hardly the dud people are making him out to be.

He is still the clubs best set of hands, yes he seems to have aged 10 years in the space of 2 but I still believe he is capable of giving Adelaide something this year and I hope he is given the reception he deserves from Crows fans – not the harangue aimed at him so far

He does deserve respect, he is one of my favorite players on the Crows list, and there is one thing he has bucket loads of, and thats heart, unfortunately, he doesn't have much pace, so he probably should't play for the Crows again. And being a good contested mark is great and all, but when you either can't get to the contest or can't kick over a jam tin, it isn't worth much. Don't get me wrong there is nothing I would love more than for Kenny to magically regain some pace and play great for the rest of the year and beyond, but I know it isn't going to happen.

Getting -3 points in Dreamteam is pretty funny though.

I'm sure he could play at Full Forward, as in he stays in the square all the time, but that isn't the way the Crows structure, or the way Neil seems to want to play it. On the lead he is simply too slow.

I've always respected KMac and his service at the club, he's done a lot its just hes past his time and honestly shouldn't get a crack unless he somehow finds some speed somewhere...

Well said Cappy. Sums up my thoughts on the matter perfectly. :thumbsu:

If McGregor does play he will put his body totally on the line - that's something he can't be criticized for.

Ditto. He's had 2 bad games and suddenly he's a dud. Same thing could be said for this board's attitude to Gill, Shirley, Edwards, Knights, Massie and Stephens!! How about taking a longer term view, like 4 weeks :D

Kenny has hung in there very well and he exemplifies what a TRUE club player is all about where he has gone about his business at the eagles...acccepted all the criticsism and when called up will put his body on the line for the AFC. He might not be the superstar that people are calling for but he has go.
It surley will be the time for players to showcase their ability to remain on the list ;
Bassett
Stevens
Edwards
Jericho
McLeod
Reilly inj
Burton inj
Biglands inj
Gill sanfl

with Otten, Walker, Dangerfield, Kite, Petrenko all at the ready before the end of the season looking to offer the next generation options.

It must be said that the handling of Walkers non selection was not handled very well by AFC imo. Had to hear on the news that he was not even in the squad. By all reports fairly dissapointed with a short time to recover his thoughts and focus on the Sanfl game against Centrals.Surely with al the ducks and drakes played by officials of the AFC during the week communication with an 18 year old that has had so much said in the last two weeks and perhaps feeling that he may get a run this week he could have been told earlier that he was not REALLY in the mix and that his time will come but later !
Think this game could be season defining for the AFC and several players and wish everyone well as footy is a fickle business and a week is a long time !
