In all seriousness, this rule will be shit. Will probably punish those ducking to avoid the tackles (bad) and those who have their head low when picking up the ball. Crafty duckers like Joel will not be affected because it's not obvious he's doing it deliberately. Lindsay Thomas won't give away free kicks because he'll stop doing it this weekend.

I give it a month before the rule changes again.

Shit's ****ed. Leading with the head is the lesser issue because it's so obvious when players do it. Just don't pay the high imo and a player can be held responsible for their own safety when charging head first.

Yeah, this is something that should have been tried in the NAB, not something to change mid season :drunk:

Don't know what the OP is talking about... Duck season is still in full swing..

Evans said there would be no change to stop awarding free kicks if a player shrugs or drops his knees into a tackle and the action causes high contact to occur.
