i thought those decisions by the MRP were fair enough.

enright was in the air before selwood kicked it, only worthy of a reprimand.

pods' one looks to be a bit of a quick reflex action gone wrong, nothing in it.

good to hear selwood will only miss 2, we need midfield leaders. hopefully stevens gets a game in his place for the time being.

It's hard to know what to think of the decision regarding Enright. If Enright was going for the ball but was a tad late, then the decision is fair. But if he was sniping a tagger who was getting the upper hand, then the decision stinks.
I'll give Enright the benefit of the doubt. I don't think he's dirty.

Savage is way too far IMO. I'd like you to point out what exactly was malicious in Hurns hit on Stewart.

Have a look at it, the hit is savage, head high, extremely forceful and wreckless.

I never said it was malicious, he's not a piece of spyware.

I'd disagree with savage and wreckless, my take on it was that Bunga was pretty plainly going hard at the ball until the very last milisecond when he had to protect himself. Finding it hard to see a difference between the Hurn one and Sandi's hit on Davis tbh.

One was a marking contest, both players going for the ball.

Hurn saw Thomas and went the bump.

And Sandilands didn't go the bump once he knew the contact between him and Davis was inevitable?

He braced himself for contact.

Bracing and making a conscious decison to bump, then accelerate through the bump is a different kettle of fish.

I dont think we are going to agree on this.

Hurn didn't bump, he braced for contact. And accelerating through the contact WTF? Got contact to the head, fair enough, but if there was any intent (ie bunmp and accelearting through the bump) he would've copped 4 or 5.

Seriously, you can't help yourself sometimes

I wouldn't say Hurn accelerated through the bump at all, IMO the only difference between the two is that one involved a guy stumbling to hip level and one involved two upright players. Level of malicious intent was the same in both cases - zero. But you're right, we're not going to agree on this.

Accelerating through the bump? Is that a technical term because that is total gibberish. How the hell can you accelerate once contact is made?

BS. Hurn was hard done by. Neither should have been suspended. The 2 weeks in particular was harsh.

Larri and MZ, I think he meant accelerate into the bump, as in speed up before contact to maximise impact on the opposition player/minimise your chances of being hurt. Which I would still disgaree with regarding the bump.

Well, you can either brace and leave it at that, or you can actively try and take a blokes head off, ala Hurn.

Lucky he didnt break the guys neck.

umm Sandliands is lucky the guy he bumped into isnt dead.

And the match review panel always tells us they dont care what the consequences of the bump is so the actual force has no impact in rulings.

Hurn actively tried to pull out, any idiot could see that.

What complete bullshit. There's no way you can draw any significant difference in intent between the Hurn and Sandilands bumps.
