Also given how things have fallen into place and the feeling of again going through a repeat of history with following in the footsteps of the 2005 and 2012 seasons (losing home qualifying final) at least they win this game right? Right?

Almost every player lacked composure for most of the game - even Tex - so I don't think there'll be many if any performance based changes, as tempting as it is from the outside. This is one where a response is needed from the group as a whole, including coaches. Hopefully they've got the nerves and the Izak distraction out of their system and they can focus on playing the football that got us to an 18-5 record.

But structurally, Smith and Laird haven't played in the same side all year and neither have Michalanney and Bond. If we're going to get some balance back I'd expect Smith and Bond to make way.

The ins should be out of Rachele (if fit), Cook or Nankervis.

Dowling/Jones/Schoenberg are not the answer this week. Not even going to mention the M word. Unfortunately after that the cupboard is bare. Praying for no injuries or MRO activity.

More if he was ready to play in a final because he was in the team all year and up to speed somewhat with AFL level
Hed have been gassed by now.

People seriously think a kid who did less than half of the pre season was going to make any sort of difference tonight ?? He barely got near it against North who are garbage.

I suppose these same people expect Rachele to come in next week and play midfield minutes. Its just not gonna happen.

Let’s see…our ball use from half back has been stagnant and possibly our best rebounding half back is getting sub 10 touches holding space on the wing.
Brother and I talked about this on the way home . Does Hinge get dropped - along with Smith - and we drop Isaac Cumming back to Hinges spot

Then he asked who takes the other wing

I struggled and thought maybe ANB drops back a line

I was calling for Taylor to come out weeks ago and was howled down on here .
. Nice skills but not doing enough. We should have used his spot to expose more of our sanfl talent . We have been carrying him and a few others and now look completely unprepared for finals as most of sanfl team haven’t played afl this year. What a fking disaster

Draper wasn’t up to it against North in a dead rubber and people want to bring him in for a do or die final?

Kid may/may not be a star one day. But he’s not ready. Him having an Ashcroft breakout first year certainly would have helped but that’s not the season he had.

It would be a better option to wheel out Crouch.

We dont need to blow up the team. It wasn’t skill or personnel (other than maybe too many defenders). It was 22 players collectively shitting themselves. Make minimal changes and back them to respond. If not it’s going to be a long off season.

Couldn't pick him off his North form but that was a symptom of our total mismanagement of him over the year.

We should have been building him up to have him ready to impact in finals. Instead we ****ed him around.

And with the way some of our mids played, yeah, a top 4 midfielder with pace might have been handy

Harsh on Bond.

I think we're overreacting to the whole bond/Michalaney thing.

A lot bigger concerns than this.
Our defensive unit, stacked with too many defenders, looked utterly lost at times

Pace but no composure or tank, he'd have had no impact.
