What do you mean "phoning"?

Slimy?

I've had the impression that he does try a tad hard.

As far as racing is concerned. Is it too much?

When he does go on about specific issues in racing. I'm not sure he quite gets that the wider public just doesn't give a shit. But maybe I'm wrong about that?
I meant it in the figurative sense, as in the effort, prep and professionalism has gone down a lot in the last 3-5 years.

But I'm interested in the slimy part?

On another note. How awesome is it that Smokey Dawson is off??? They've got Matty Granland reading out the same historical pieces that dud did.

Wow! Peaky knew of Usain Bolt testing a Porsche at Winton a few weeks ago.

There is now a 3rd HS article on the sacking and the original article had 250+ comments, with roughly 85% in support of the pair. The most recent article had a poll asking "Do you agree with SEN’s decision to replace David Schwarz and Mark Allen" and 88% of the 4500 people that voted said no. I'd say their popularity has surprised those in management at the station.
The ratings don't reflect that and in a cut throat industry like Radio it was no surprise.

Well of course the people who listen to the show are going to vote in the affirmative, they enjoy it. HS polls and comments are not an accurate source of opinions.

It's been sad to see the decrease in quality of SEN. There is one guy on overnight who has absolutely no microphone technique heavy breather. Weird.

The Run Home was a pretty good programme with Huddo and Derm. Bruce Eva was ok on nights and Andy Maher was just doing special interviews. Finey was producing Eva.

Then the station kept losing money. And most of the decent on air talent was replaced by largely talentless hacks like Allen, Maher and Fine.

We now have cut price Hutchy who will even cut prices further.

SEN missed massive opportunities to be a true sports station by refusing to buy the rights for the cricket and even growth sports like the EPL.

Their extreme reluctance to employ any decent female on air talent has been an insult to most blokes and all females. They seem to have pandered to a decreasing market of sexist, bogan AFL nuts. Message to SEN: The world's a bigger place than what you think.

It's only just happened , give it a chance to work. If it doesn't that's life.
Mate Hutchy is a content man so i would not be surprised if he has a big crack at the cricket rights. Also wouldn't be surprised to see some American sport creep in if it's cheap.

So it ain't over. But Hutchy's talent selection is questionable. Take Wallace, shocking voice for radio. Just hard to listen to and that's setting aside his delusional non ironical use of the 'list manager' moniker.

They've improved overnight if Dan Lonergan does it - a bulldogs whinger but a pro. The work experience kids on overnight have largely been terrible.

Other Croc talent like Pickering, Cooney and Kosi are close to unlistenable.

If Hutchy can fix the cricket rights that would be a start. Otherwise SEN will remain a barren, talent and entertainment free, blokey zone of irrelevance in summer.

Getting rid of Marko and Ox is the end for SEN for me, only show I listened to. Dont understand the love of KB and his "trolling", dont particularly understand the concept of trolls at all to be honest, was boycotting KB anyway due to the regular spot given to Brian Waldron.

This idea though that Hutchy is a master broadcaster who knows what the people want and will turn the station around is fanciful, it is well known, WELL KNOWN, that all he is good for in the media industry is offering the lowest cost possible which endears him to those who matter. The way he manages this is through very, erm, how to say this... illegal? No, dodgy, better stick with dodgy, business practices. The actual quality of the content he produces is terrible, which given the cost he spends on them makes sense.

For some reason some people think it's weird or snobby or something that Francis pronounces his name Frarncis.

From my understanding doc turf owns 33% of croc media and his brother owns another 33% stake so in effect majority stakeholders.
