This was given to me by a mate, apparently this was on SEN.

Thugs Team of the Century

What amused me was the number of Saints players (5) in this team and, how good it is.
The question is: what would be the equivalent "Angels" Team of the Century.
Surely it would include Kevin Bartlett (400+ games, one report for striking, found not guilty) and Robert Harvey to name just two?

I remember when Bakes got the 12 weeks or whatever it was for hitting Stevie J's (?) hand.
I knew then and there minnow clubs didn't stand a chance.
I was livid. My mates had to listen to constant vitriol about the AFL and how rigged it was for many, many months.
There may and probably was more to it than I remember but at the time it absolutely disgusted me.

I was there that night and couldn’t take my eyes off them. Stevie J deserved far more than what he got. Bakes probably did too but they were both as bad as each other.

What a positive way to promote the image of the game. Sometimes , no most of the time, I wonder about the mentality of some in the media, if it's not tough man Dermot (why use 5 words when you can use 20) Brereton, it's good wholesome messages to mums like this.

yes, it's shocking isn't it. Just awful. The poor Mums don't want to see this glorification of violence.

Robbie mace was pretty wild during his time at the saints and even worse at Frankston I think.

Ross Smith was an angel, I may be wrong but I have some memory of him handing back a free kick believing the umpire had been mistaken.
